Well I picked up anohter D2C last nite... after some configurations, I am able to load up dual copies on 1 comp... I was successful in 2 Normal SELF-PA"S... gonna redo my enchantress and a pure SINGER with leaping abilities.. basically a BO-slave.....

This morning I was lvlin my barb and got to lvl 18 b4 I had to run off 2 work. So i'll prob be lvling him up for awhile... if ne1 needs me I'll be on

so far most points have gone into shout... lvl 12 currently - so it last for a good ole' 130 secs.... I have also placed a pt into leap n leap attack... just in case I need to get away from a situation....

I am now trading those titans for a wizzy and a crescent moon ammy... :thumbsup:

I would think that eth titans are of much greater value than wizzy and cmoon ammy, even this early in the season. If it makes you happy though, go for it. (I'm not too familiar with trade values, but least season they went for astronomically high prices)

The titans are eth but the stats are horid - only 156 ED... I have a norm pair... 188 ED - so those are better imo

Yep... so I think I'm getting the better deal... the trade is being done via mule... the trader - whatacatch already PM'd me the mule acct - so I just need to xfer the titans onto the mule he created...

Since I can dual load now... I can do that self-xfer without having to worry bout the game crashing and what not...

How do you figure that? A 158 non eth titans does the same dmg as a 158 eth titans...It has the same ed there for has the same dmg. For a pair of eth titans to be worth alot, it has to be 201%+ i believe.

since all titans are self-reparing... that pt is mute... however with the eth titans - u can't go 2 Charsi or whoever to fix them... you have to wait for replenish... (or can you... I forget...)

I tested the eth's on my zon and the dmg didn't increase ne better...

w/e the case maybe - they are in the process of being traded...

and my Sorcy well be alot happier... now I can abuse the Hell Andy Bug... and I'll prob HEL the wizzy to lower the Dex req's....

Eth bonus adds 50% to the base.
1H Melee Dmg: 18-35 x .50 = 27-52.5
Throwing Dmg: 18-54 x .50 = 27-81
Now add in the 158% ed on top of that, and you have some pretty killer damage I believe.

Well seeing as it only boosts the physical damage it doesn't help THAT much but it has lower reqs and looks very cool on your character. ^.^

Ethereal items have 150% base damage. This is amplified by the %ed modifier on the weapon. Take for instance, an eth 150% titans and a 200% non-eth:

eth 150% = 2.5*1.5*(c.jav base) = 3.75*(c.jav base) = effectively 275% ed
noneth 200% = 3.0*1.0*(c.jav base) = 3.0*(c.jav base) = 200% ed

The +25-50 damage modifier on titans clouds the issue a little bit, but the nuts and bolts of the argument are the same. Eth weapons do more damage, and when an item has a %ed modifier the difference is even more exaggerated.

Ahh, i always just thought it took the ed modifier on the javs, and added 50% to it...So if the javs were not eth they would say 158, and if they were eth they would say 208%.

Am not getting much D2 time this weekend :( Helping my Sister and Brother-in-law with there business so that is taking up 9 hours yesterday and today.


I am having a problem and wondering if anyone has had this happen. I bought a second copy of D2 and I have it loaded on a 2nd computer. When I log in with the first computer and go to the channel and then log on with the second I get lost connection on the first computer and visa versa. But if I log on and make game get into game then bring the character in with the second computer its all fine ?????????


Thanks to Jim and anyone else who put stuff on the mules...My sorc was able to get a couple of things to help him out and to help his merc...no I just need a wpn for him so I can move to hell. I tried to and it all was going well to I got to cold plains then he just kept playing dead and I kept running away .....lmao

Lou are u using the same acct on both copies... if so - you can sometimes kick yourself off if you log in using the same acct... this is not always the case tho.

Had some good fun leveling in hell with many of the gang over the weekend. Best silly adventure had to be with Mike on Saturday, though... we got an enchant from Jim, and then made the silly decision to take on a PK with our level 9 and leevl 14 characters. Needless to say, we got pwnt :flip: But sometimes ya just gotta do it for kicks, and when the price is just a level 14 barb, the kicks come cheap.

Anyway, ought to be on tonight... gotta try to get this sorcy through act 2 hell...

I lvled my Enchantress abit more this morning... got her from lvl 43 to lvl 60 - with the help of several pubby Baal runs... so far I have maxed Enchant & Warmth... FM is currently lvl 18, iirc... so with Kuko I think I'm averaging dmg from 2300~3100... she should be @ max capacity around lvl 64...

With Mike's help yesterday, my MFer sorcy and BO Barb - is now in Hell A2... even though I had 2 close calls yesterday...

I'll prob try a few Hell Andy runs 2nite...

Funny you should mention that, since that's exactly what I got them for. Doesn't help my damage much but gives me that leet look.

Lou, you cannot be in the channels with 2 chars from the same account. It will boot you. I learned this from when me and a friend used to share an account. He would be trying to trade, and i would log in and boot him off, and i would get a not very happy phone call. :)

Anybody know anything about making MA assassins? I think that's what I wanna try next as a "for fun" character. I was leaning towards elemental attacks and kicks, maybe loaded up with crushing blow as much as I could... maybe along the lines of tucs/jade/upped gores/duress/guillames, and adding a crushing blow weapon on switch for blade-chucking?

Of course, I have none of these things. I been too busy finding dark clan crushers, visceratuants and deathbits. But I should be able to round em up.

Mike, I finally found those boots I have for your druid. I use 2 accounts lately and I'm on both of them together almost always. My BO barb is cow_jcarle and my sorc is cow-jcarle. Just message me next time you see me.

If anyone needs help getting to hell baal, just let me know. Myself and a couple friends usually rush mules from normal to hell every two days or so for rune and socket quests. It is even easier when we have people that have characters waiting to move up to the next level, otherwise we have to go public and offer free rushes to strangers so we can move our mules from norm to NM or NM to hell. I'd rather have people I know through association join us because I don't trust public games these days and I hardly ever play them.

BTW, I got my first anni the other day since the new ladder came out. It was a really simple kill. I landed in an active soj counter game while MFing. My wife forced me to go grocery shopping with her so I set my mouse moving and when I came back he was walking. Only problem was I couldn't find him. LOL. Two of my friends joined my game while I was afk and killed him. They held the anni for me until that night. Easiest one I ever got, hehe.

I started in a hell game at lvl 12 i hostiled watxhed all the 80+ with chicken exit then they came back saw i was 12 started calling me lame so i waited and hostiled again and they exited again :thumbsup: that was just for fun tho lol

In normal alot of ppl actually try to kill lvl 12 :cheesy:

It doesn't say it on that page but I believe it's not a full price, only a deposit of say $5. Just like when you pre-order other games. I'll have to ask about it though to get a clarification. The software would probably have to be downloaded, that's what they did for the E3 for Everyone event. Or maybe you'd get a CD when you put your $5 down for the pre-order or whatever.

I should be on most of tonight. As long as one of my other buddies is on, act 2 to 5 won't be any problem at all. I just don't like to do some things by myself with my meteorb sorc. Chaos, Anya, and the Ancients are a bit of a pain if she has to do them solo in a full game. BTW, she is still wearing ghetto gear but it works great :)
