i was talking to Jedi the other night and he mentioned GAT, apparently it has something to do with a group of people who play in private games to lvl up (im not to sure) if someone can hlp me out here it would be a big help.
and if u are wondering why i dont ask Jedi, it is because he said i should look for my self, but i cant find it so that is why i am posting this. :thumbsup:

They're all wrong.
GAT is a top secret organisation where you have to pay $0.000007 to BofW Inc in order to join. Once you've paid you will get your top secret decoder ring plus a bonus GAT t-shirt. Not to mention access to the all exclusive BofW hack.
What's BofW hack you ask? Well think maphack with all its features but 100x better.

Since there is some interest I as a former GATter will tell you what it means and what it stands for.
GAT = Green Arse Team. It started originally in europe as a group of people that started an untwinked paladin team (If you don't get it look at the color of the pants of a newly made paladin.)
Eventually it expanded into a group of coop players that got together in a channel with the gat name. I think just GAT-East was the original east channel but they moved to Chat GAT-East when they were having trouble with people taking over the original channel with bots. The original big GAT place was USEast and then it expanded to USWest and Europe.
East and West are for the most part dead until a new generation of GAT minded people revive it. The main reason is due to the heart and soul of the original GAT moving on. (People like BofW, Daver, Rah, Darkisnite, etc). Europe is the only realm that is still active for the most part.
The premise of GAT was a group of people that wanted to play coop in a nearly hack free environment (I have to say nearly because with the exception of Europe MH was allowed). People did not use GAT tags or anything because it was not meant to be a "clan." It was just meant to be a group of like minded people playing together.
In the end it did have clan like features: with the moderation of clan (and later op) GAT-East and GAT-West, the private forum for members, etc.

The nearest to a clan Europe has, is that we write on the "other" web site.

though its very hard to match up with maphackers and other cheaters.
i just can say that it is a a lot annoying when another sorc enters AFTER me and arrives in tc85 areas BEFORE me, pops all golden chests, kills some unique bosses etc without even partying when i stand beside her O_o
but i am lvl 93 now :P
probably one of a few chars which has never seen a cheat.

Tec pretty much hit it right on the head with her description. The only reason East and West needed bots was because it became extremely popular and fast - which resulted in quite a few shmucks comming into the channel.

And here I was going to make a post about the death of GAT, specifically west. I still sit in the channel and Ive seen a few BTK, another dying group. No one else even drops by just to pop in or out. I miss all the peeps that used to play but that is the nature of online games. They come and go.

It's been a long time, a year, or even two ago, i'd have at least half my friends list full, bahh nerf and his 8 accounts!, and id be in a game with at least 4-5 of em. And oh that /f m spamming....
Not dying but moved on to new, and better things...
