View Full Version : Titans or Thunderstroke
I'm planning on starting the hybridzon, for the javelin I already have Thunderstroke (when I can use it). How would people on this forum rate this weapon against titans (which I haven't got yet) and please state your reasons. Thanx in advance.
regards
A hybrid will most likely spend more time LFing than CSing so a Titan would be a better choice, IMO, as you don't have to run to town and repair all the time...

It's not really a question of rich vs poor: Titan's has nearly twice the stack size and regenerates. So you'll get about double the # of throws before having to think about repairs.

Well you could say that the rich would use eth upgraded titans. :P

For pvm, thunderstroke can't compare to the replenishment and secondary mods of titans or eth titans.

I just traded for a +4 skills Thunderstroke and after trying it out, I have to say that I don't really like it that much for soloing purposes as a Fend/LF/PJ Javazon. I still prefer Titan's Revenge because it's more useful for melee attacks, which I do a lot more of than the average Javazon.
I have yet to give Thunderstroke a try when soloing Diablo Clone or running Baal in a party. I think I would like Thunderstroke more in those two scenarios because of the decreased enemy lightning resistance against Diablo Clone and the fact that I don't melee as much in a partied Baal run.
If Thunderstroke could replenish, I think it would be a great throwing javelin. As it is, the quantity would run out quite fast if you use LF a lot and it's not a great melee javelin either. I have limited uses for it, but I realize that it's more of a novelty item for my build more than anything else because I certainly didn't need it.
Also, I can see how the -15% enemy lightning resistance would be helpful in PvP, but overall it's not as all-around useful in PvM as Titan's Revenge.
