Mf for finding ss or wf? especially in pit runs

Hi. I have 350 mf without sacrificing my gear and i ve been making baal runs. I ve founf nothing good exept thunderstrokes. Whats the optimal mf with sacrificing my gear and how much time to find good things like ss or wf???

how much gear sacrifice is purely dependent upon you. if u can't afford gear sacrifices, then what u have now is the best. general rule of MF is more the better. that's why sorcs are so good at it. even without +skills they can kill stuff using base skills if playing alone, while physical attacker classes need a good weapon and some sort of leech.

if u're happy with your dmg or cannot sacrifice anymroe gear, the only other option left to you is to use charms. 7%mfsc will increase your MF quite a bit with full inv.

SS is generally easier to find than WF, but don't expect to find it anytime soon. You should hope to, but don't expect to get it.

Well a WF is in Weap87 - so the best places to look are:

WSK (all 3 levels)
Throne of Destruction (and Baal)
River of Flame
Chaos Sanctuary
The Pit

basically any area class 85

a SS is in a much lower class (armour 72), and i'd say your best bet was Hell Mephi, but anywhere on Act4-5 Hell should be a good bet, maybe even act 1-3 but i cba hunting out area class tables on the net atm to find the exact earliest it could drop.

I have found both StormShield and Windforce in the pits, in 1.10 with around 150% mf on my pit straifer..

Storm its all a luck of the dice, u can easily do 1000 meph runs and only find a gaze, then u could go and do 10 pindle runs and find tals armor and ss....

Ironically...as I was about to log off yesterday from a series of bad Meph runs, I decided to try a Pitrun with my Strafer. As I'm entering the pit, I'm thinking...why bother?...I haven't found a decent item in like 3 months down here. All of a sudden, I'm bum-rushed by some skeles with a Boss w/ fanat aura. I mow them down fairly quickly, scoop up the gold, and do a quick name check for item drops and BAM!

Unique Hydra bow.

That makes 2 now in my collection...muahahahahaaaa...

Anyways, so I guess my point is...it's mainly pure luck as to what drops when. MF helps I'm sure (my zon has over 400%) but bottom line is that it's really just luck of the draw...

Damn in my private serv is not so popular to do pit runs, can anybody whisper what map it is located in? (I heard somewhere about hole The Pit) and btw i visited it few times and found nothing except gold and crap

Go to outer cloistier waypoint in act 1 and walk back into the tamoe highlands and find it.

Good news all i ve found titans and ss in the same day guess its really luck!!! (memph runs!) But again that windforce is so damn hard to find... By the way shall i go to pindleskin for wf or make baal runs, maybe pits? waiting opinions who found wf (also others)

tbh the easiest way to get a WF is to trade for one, and with the botters botting the prices are nice and low, so any good HF rune should buy you one.

Yes, it was in Hell pit that I found the WF.

Storm, I'd go with the Pit AND Pindle...double your efforts. From what I understad though...pindle's alot harder to get good drops from. Still...ya never know.

my mf runs consist of the pit, countess, trav(if I am feeling brave), pindle, shenk, and the guy right by the bloody foothills.

I haven't found a wf yet, but I have found 3x ss's

well ebyworx it doesnt matter if u found 3 right?? 1 is enough my aim was 3 items titans ss and wf. I ve found titans and ss by memph runs only about 1 hour. But wf i am trying about a week nearly sleepless but still no wf,ive seen a few rare wf but not a unique one. Damn luck !!!!

Not to be a nay-sayer...but it might take more than a week for your WF to drop...if ever. I've been running Pits, meph, Frigids and Trav since last year, and I've only just now got a WF to drop. That being said...you may be the lucky one after all...luck is one fickle lady.

I found a wf at the pits too

I killed some fallens and it dropped, i think it was them cause there was nowhere else around, unique hydra bow, i nearly missed it and went away but i just saw it and picked it up making it 2 now

I was using a meteorb sorc in hell pits, my mf is about 600-650 but it was 2 months or so before it dropped

The pits rock, i get at least 2 elites (set or unique) per run so try them out, this is solo, if u play them on 8 player the drop must be great

I usually do andy/pits/maybe trav/shenk/eldritch/pindle with my sorc (650mf)

and meph/diablo/baal with my hammerdin (350mf/500mf on weapon switch)

and there are pretty nice drops
