You guys Deserve to hear about this more than most do...

Monday, Aug 1'st was a Sad, sad day in Diablo 2's history. A hack that goes by the name "God Mode" was released, and made public. There has been word that it has existed for much longer than the past 3 days, and used with a very limited ammount of people, primarily on hardcore. But rest-assured, its public now.

The way it works is simple, while at the same time complicated to a point in which I can't understand.

Apparently, it tricks the game files into thinking that you are at Akara, malah, or any other healing NPC's. So, it continuously thinks you are clicking on that, healing yourself every few mili-seconds. This makes for very unfair play.

I plan to get more information as how the program works as soon as me and my friend figure out how it does work, then I will report back.

(No, I don't plan to use it. Hell, I don't play on the realms anymore...)

there has been a thread about this.

but thanks for your concern.

and we found out how it works. you change a little thing that evertime you get dmged. it automatically uses a rejuv, but not only that, it uses the same rejuv everytime... so it copies it, and uses it again and again.

As explained to me by Hellmonkeys(the creator of Godmode, and all of the wonderful triggers :grrr: ), it keeps ID'ing the Healing Potion, but it reads as the rejuv(or the other way around.) Making it so the rejuv never gets used, but it heals you.

Main way to counter it is to 1 hit ko OR do lots of high damage attacks very fast. Godmode does not always heal if it gets hit many times in a row.

There's a reason I, to quote STINGER, swim in the garbage. Always nice to know what you're up against beforehand.

On that note, my Firebear should be up in a few days. Main thing is getting the +3 SS/life amy and a couple charms. Probably won't be able to kill my friend's 53 godmode barb, but I'll be damned if I don't try. :flip:

Phantom I don't really care if you hang out with them, but have you ever tried to PK someone who uses TPPK in your group? You should sometime, just to show you're better legit than they are with their scripts.

You said hacks are lame? Friends are lame? Then you guys can laugh about it later, water cooler talk.

Hacks are lame, but friends are friends. Yes, they use programs that I would rather they not use, but it was their choice to pick them up, and it's their choice to set them down. They are still great people to play with.

I do see your point, sort of, and I have killed TPPKers legitly. Infact, it's pretty easy.

My guess is, this thread is doomed for OT. But then again, not much to say about Godmode that hasn't been said.
