Wisp Ring

I was wandering if any bowa/javazons here have had any experience with using this ring and how well the spirits stay alive? I had a thought about using it on a barb but then realized due to a barbs aggresive combat skills the spirits would die almost instantly in battle, so i figured a zon would be best using this great ring.

Oh btw do +skill items add skill points to these skills??

I haven't tried it with a zon, but i have used the sages with my summoner who has 14 skele warriors, 8 mages, and 15 revives and the dumb thing still dies frequently. I can't believe they call it a sage.

Unless you can clear out monsters on sight or you're killing monsters off your screen, it's not worth it. The light absorb though is useful against gloams and LE's.

I used it on my bowazon for a while, along with bo from cta, just wanted to pump my life up a bit.. until I realized I diden't need it. The sages will last for a while if you take really, really good care of them.. I'm not in the habit of doing that.. I was using oak .. and if I simply gave myself the attention that the oak needed to survive, I would never need the extra life it provided anyway. If you're looking at using any of the other spirits .. I can't really help .. I've never used them.. but they would probably be as weak as the others.

The only time the spirits lasted a little longer was on my barb.. I have a high level bo/shout.. so I would cast the spirit first .. then bc/bo/shout .. shout would up the defense of the spirit and bo would up it's life.. but not by so much that they become fighting machines or anything.. :)

my buddy has a necro summoner and said with his might merc and heart of wolf nothing can stand up to his summons. I haven't seen many pure summon necros kill Baal solo that fast.

Ive tried it on a bowazon once and it doesnt really help. Mainly because it dies in two seconds. But as for how the sages affects life/dmg, the oak sage boosted my life from 2.6k to 3k with cta (please dont ask why I had 2.6k life on a bowazon). I dont remember the dmg increase from HOW, but it was too low and way to annoying to protect. Maybe you can use the ar boost on　a strafer or something. :scratch:
