Can we make a bot to PK?

no harm asking right?

I don't think WE would.
It might be able to be done. It would be a waste tho.
TPPK works just as well.. and if you're gonna PK shouldn't it be for sport? I don't see any reason to get a computer to PK for you.

PKing is the last enjoyable thing in the diablo foresaken game.

It would be feasible to get a bot to join games, say "pp", take a portal to the throne, then do the TPPK.
It could have chicken (for vs trapped TPs)
It could leave if not in a party for 2 minutes
It could leave if no portal to the throne after 5 minutes

Or at least I assume all these things could be worked into a bot, however if you mean "we" you mean forum goers on dii.net and by "can" you mean "it'll ever happen on dii.net" then the answer is no.

Come on, I just thinking people who are leeching, being rushed. Blizz is not doing anything so might as well try to think of something else. That said, hunting them down is indeed more fun then botPK.

The main group of people which I want to deal with is the botters, as in andy bot, pindle bot etc. if they play in pubby then we have a chance to catch them. But if they have the game password protected then it is different.

May be bot cannot do a bot, have to think of something else.

A bot to automate the PK process. OMFG. I think everyone here knows my opinion.

PKing is better left to the pros, because it's more fun to ruin hours of playtime and be present for the comments made. I know when I go PKing I have to have the Tylenol ready because my head starts pounding after a while from all the laughter.

50% of the fun in PKing are the comments made after you kill someone
- of which 20% are derived from newbies who threaten to report you to Blizz (when you legitly hunted them)
- of which 20% are from people threatening to hack you
- of which 40% are from people who whine/sour grapes
- of which 20% are from people who call on their friends/leave and get another character, giving another opp to kill
20% of the fun is hunting the person down/thrill of the hunt
10% is the thrill of killing a legit without chicken
20% is the thrill of killing someone who proclaims, "My Chicken Didn't Work!"

Now with all this fun, why the hell would anyone want to use a PK bot?

Come on, get with the program. You know there is only one correct way to play this game. And if someone doesn't play it the way you think they should, you should do everything within your power, including using third-party programs, to try and stop them and ruin their fun. Damn them to Hell for having their own ideas about how to play. DAMN THEM!!!

To quote Samuel Jackson "HELL YES THEY DESERVED TO DIE AND I HOPE THEY BURN IN HELL."

Wow so pking is 150% fun...I always thought it was more around 200% fun, but thats just me.:p

Ka0s, it depends upon the mods that spawn. It varies between 101%-200%, depending upon the difficulty level. As difficulty goes higher, I've found my mods tend to be lower. Like in Hell level, people tend to Chicken like crazy thus reducing my odds of getting 200% fun. In Normal, it goes up because people tend to be untwinked, are leeching their way to NM, and they haven't considered resistances yet. This is when I get a 200% modifier.

Also, there is a bonus to the "Happy Thought" mod. This is the modifier that gives you the satisfaction of knowing you just ruined somebody's day. Just the mere thought of them exiting and cursing you adds an extra 50% to the fun mod. It gets higher in each difficulty for every successful PK. This can help the fun mod because of the Chicken Modifier. So instead of rolling 101% fun, you get 151% fun. But because you are not always successful, it will give you a weighted average dependant upon tries vs. success.

So, for each person it is different. Don't forget to socket your Helm with a "Jewel of No-Conscience" or the most desirable Perfect "Ruby Jewel of No-Conscience"... the latter adds 40% enhanced desire to PK with No Regard.

Why would I need help? I prefer no shoes at all thanks.

If you ever decide to get into the best part of this game, which is PK Hardcore, you too will understand why it's more fun than should be allowed.

I used to be fervently against PKing. I used to be on Terry's side on this issue. Then I got my hind end kicked in in a duel against a BMer last year, and after that I began my quest to learn what the hell I was doing. Does anyone remember this incident? No? Why? Oh yeah, I never complained! Legit duel, and I lost a sorc with 8 Light skillers, and a ton of good gear no-loot. Then two weeks later? I lost with a Necro against another BMer, legit duel. I went from trash skills to good very quickly. Then the duels got out of hand and I tasted new blood. And it is far tastier than any blood I've ever drank in the Moor. :Gives Klingon Death Cry:

Once you go to the black, you never come back. You can be food for the PKs and play PvM 100%, or join us and rule the galaxy! Wait, wrong movie, and wrong genre too!

bot?

I thought that would have been a major +250% to fun modifier, plus the obligitory "+50% chance to laugh drink out of nose"

Hmmm. Maybe I should spend more tiime actually PKing instead of just leaving trapped TPs for whiners/spammers...could definitely increase my "% chance to wake up g/f with uproarious laughter"...

Give it a shot Nebby, it is possible to kill a Chicken user. Some set it at JUST the right level so you can get one attack in, and just RIP them with the finishing blow. Chicken will have no use then.

The fun mod cannot go up in this instance since it is not a feature of the original game. Best you'll EVER see is when someone dies and their chicken kicks them out at the same time. The ear and gold drop, but no body. I gotta screenie that if I see it again... hope I think to do it tho.

If someone makes a PK bot make sure that it spams this message upon killing someone:

"LOL PWNT NUB KKTHXNORE"

So Conner, I've dueled friendly loot-type duels, but never tried to kill chicken users. Got some character pointers for a good low-mid level character? Eth Bonesnap charger- they'll scan you for sure. Maybe a riphooker?, with some crappy javs on switch to look like a javazon? or a pike zerker barb, with some tossing stiks on switch?

Which comes to the other problem in your fun mod calculation- deductions for the amount/percent of time spent hostiling, only to have everyone insta-quit...

weird ...

i've been pk'ed before Conner, yet you don't have my reaction down at all, maybe you've never run into it.

i usually just comment, "Wow, good job. You totally caught me and abused me. Cyas later."

*lu exits game*

but i'm a die-hard PvMer or PKY (ie, self-killer)

On this topic let me just say that my most succesfull PK to date is a lvl 12 charger with 22 ears in stash. Crappy equipment and could do twice the damage, but at lvl 12 he gets duels. Higher than 15 and ppl don't really want to loose their char, so stick to low lev if you dont want to wait forever for a fight.

I recieved a rare double modifier reaching 300% once when I killed a lvl 20 pally with my lvl 14 charger who then proclaimed "wtf! my chicken should have saved me!!"

rettet! GOOD FOR YOU!!!! Awesome work.

Nebby: Snappers don't always get caught, just know what you are doing with the character and when. Perfect example... I built that charger last season to use the BOTD Tmaul I made. I never ever entered a game with that in the primary weapon display. I put an Eth upgraded Bonesnap in the switch and never ever joined a game with that Tmaul showing. They both look the same when equipped.

You can also get away with a regular Eth Bonesnap on a level 24. Here's what you do... Read my PM cuz I sure as hell ain't posting this little trick.

Not everybody quits either. There is a great deal of satisfaction to me knowing that I am ruining everyone else's Baal runs or whatever runs they are doing. Most of the time they will stick it out in the Throne area until you get too close. Leech as much xp as possible I guess. Then what you do is complete the run while everyone is in town *****ing at you. For added fun, finish off Lister and go weaken Baal down to nothing. Then do the pp thing. Once they party you, take everyone to the next difficulty with you.

I tend to build many copies of my PKs. I noticed last season that the community has gotten so small that people will recognize you and when you get made, that's about it. I enjoy rebuilding characters over and over, which I guess makes me a HC player candidate. You can semi-retire them and then bring em out again a day or two later after everyone is out of the difficulty level.

The best thing about killing chicken hackers is that they don't get to loot.

I have written a 'guide' to killing them, but I won't post it - just realized how many secrets are in it.
