View Full Version : Viability of a Speedazon?

Well, I have pretty much completed my FA/Strafazon, and she does very well in all aspects, even though she is a bit weak vs. Baal (Easily remidied if I wanted to specialize her in Baal runs though). She was my first Zon ever, and IMO it just proves the bowazon isn't as worthless as many say she is- in 8 players heel Baal runs I was often the lone survivor opened up TP's so others could recover their bodies ;)

Well, this was was so much fun I think I want to make another bowazon build. I was the receipant in a trade of a Jeweler's Taira of the Whale, so I am thinking I would want to take advantage of this and start a Speedazon. The question is- is this a viable build in hell?

In my last build I concentrated on using +P&M skillers to bring all of my P&M skills to respectable levels, while maxing Stafe, FA and it's +damage synergy, and Valk. This time I am thinking about Strafe one again, but using Atma's to break PI's with Amp Damage (thus, dropping the need for FA) .I would use a [-10] base speed bow to hit the last BP. (If I can find it, maye a HoJ or CTA Mat perhaps?). I would use either +bow and crossbow skills charms or +max/+ele dam charms.

Thoughts? Ideas? Suggestions?

Thanks,

Don't bother hitting the last breakpoint. The time saved each arrow is ridiculously small compared to a 9/2 strafe.

if u are entirely concerned with only beating the game quickly and not finding anything i would do a dexzon with 150 ias

max penetrate
max multi
max valk

wf and might merc

A Speedazon using Strafe is useless. I see that you have FA as your secondary (or primary) attack, which 8fps would help; yet, despite the fact it would help FA damage, it still doesn't pair well with Strafe. Full effectiveness of 8fps would have to be used with MS (5-10 is my reccomendation) and *maybe* Guided Arrow for those single CI targets. If you're doing 750+ MS dmg w/ 63% Critical chance you would be fine.

Quick strategy (you probably would now this, but might as well): Freeze Enemies with FA (3-4 arrows) get your Valk to tank the unfrozen CI ones, and blast MS like crazy. High pierce helps here.
