Where to find a normal 6-socket bow? Possible uberweapon

I was wondering where i should look for a 6 socketed long warbow (or the other 6socket normal bow). Will larzuk grant me 6 sockets in normal?

I am really poor but noticed i've got lots of P emeralds laying around. My LF/Bow-hybrid is lvl 14 and i thought it might be some good fun to give her a 6 P Emerald bow for her 18th birthday. That coupled with some cheap ML-stuff i got and lvl 6 MS sould be devastating in Normal, atleast the earlier acts.

Then i thought it might be good for my friends new DTail assa. He can get it when i'm done with it.

Anyone else tried this btw?

thats wut i did when i turned 18 wit my bowazon. i had 6 pgems (not all emeralds). i think this would b a very good idea though. i dont think he will grant 6 socs in norm though. i think u havfta do it in hell though. thats 174 psn damage right there!

Putting 6 emerald is a big waste of the bow in late game.
I will said 174 POSION damage is a pitty in hell difficulty. 3 100 posion sc can achieve more posion damage.

i think they mean early in game, ie lvl 18. As a 100 pdsc is clvl 55. Also you wouldn't be putting 6 emeralds into something like a 6 socket Hydra / Crusader due to the requirements on those bows, and they are about the only "valuable" 6 socket bow.

If you want a long war bow that you find to get 6 sockets from larzuk it MUST be dropped a monster who is level 40 or higher. I believe this makes the item have an item level of >40. This allows Larzuk to give it 6 sockets in any difficulty socket quest. Diabloii.net has some pages here on this site that show various weapons/locations and the item levels generated from them to give you an idea of how many sockets you will get. Perhaps someone else can be more specific.

true, 174 damage is pittyful in hell, but it will work for normal. try putting 1 psaff to make the mosters go slower? just a thought.

You could try one of the socketing a normal item recipies also if you don't have a larzuk reward left, but your chances are shaky.

Got one...took a long war bow from baals minions i normal. They drop tons of these. It was pretty easy to get when you knew where to look. The ones dropped by baals minions is apparently enought to get 6 sockets from larzuk.

Well my ama is now lvl 76 and trying not to die in hell...

Considering my 5 P-emerald Nef Bow it wasn't so god. Sure, my 500 poison dam over 6 sec killed most stuff in 6 sec. However my psysdam was pathethic and i had manaproblems even with manald heal and brocs. Since I had no pierce i had to wait for the first line of mobs to die before i could apply poison to the row behind.

I'd advise other ppl to make a 6 sock Ptopaz or Pruby bow instead. Mayby Sol runes would be good aswell. Knockback isn't really neaded at all in Normal and u can get cold effect from a small colddamcharm. This would mean more arrows but faster killrate.
