View Full Version : Can necros use auto-aim with bone spear?

I'm just curious about this. My assassin dueled a necromancer who used bone spear and had perfect aim 100% of the time. I've never seen anything quite like it and I've dueled LOTS of necromancers. He would come out of teleport and instantly lock me, even with lots of confusion all around. I was teleporting very fast, at the 105 fast cast breakpoint. I wasn't even sure how he got name-lock that fast, it was instantaneous. Now, while this may have been a manifestation of perfect skill, many times in a row, I guess it seemed a little fishy. Anyone have any ideas? Am I completely off-base to suspect this?

You can use auto aim with anything but using it with spear is just plain stupid unless your standing still.

Got me, I've never used it. That's why I'm asking. I don't know what is and isn't possible.
Using a non homing attack like bone spear or fireball doesn't work very good if your opponent stays moving.

105 cast rate break pt isnt a necro, its a sorcs. a necro break pt is 125. your casting is at the 75 cast rate frame i believe

It is easy to name lock that quick~~~only need some pratice
8 or 9 frames cast rate isn't that hard to get a lock on them, unless they tele off your mini map every time you tele into their screen.........

I know how to get name-lock and I realize how hard or easy it can be depending on circumstances. The fact that he had name-lock the instant he came out of tele made me suspicious. Everytime I would trip him up with a trap it was instantaneous bone spears right on top of me without the second or so delay that would normally be attributable to gaining name-lock. There was never a single instance of mistakenly clicking my shadow either. I have dueled many very good necros at various times in the past. This person seemed a tad too good.
Who knows, maybe it was all skill and I'm wrong in suspecting him.

Thanks yuqing I love people who bring back threads that havnt been posted on for 3-4 days.
Deceit he thinks he used auto aim because he would tele on him then lock him very quickly with bone spear (you lose lock when you tele). Scrolling won't really help you with that. I don't think he was auto aiming you get used to it after a while and can click them very fast.
