View Full Version : Druid synergies ok ??

Hi all,
I'm currently playing a werebear druid, with just the shape changing tree in use. I had put my first point into flame claws, when I found an interesting helm - +2 to firestorm, +3 to moulten boulder. I thought I could use this as fire claws gets +22% extra fire damage for each level of these.

However, when I used the helm, the damage remained unchanged  which was a bit of a downer. I had expected to see a big increase in damage when fire claws were selected.

Is this just a display bug, or do these synergies not work ? Any info ?

many thanx in advance

Synergy bonuses are only granted by points you put into a skill, not points gained from items.

Really ? I didn't realise that, so thanks for the info.
(maybe the question would have been better in the newbie forum :-))

Note though charged items will give you the appropriate synergy bonus for that skill--if you have no points at all in the skill otherwise. This is the basis of the marrowwalk bug (works for rabies druids carrion wind too, since it has charges of poison creeper IIRC), which you can read more about in the necro forum.
