With a Windforce, all you need is 120% IAS- no more, no less. Let me explain why.

With the built in 20% IAS the Windforce reaches the 13/3 attack. What this means is that your first shot takes 13 frames to execute and the remaining shots take 3 frames each. If you fire 10 shots, thats a total of 40 frames.

With 70% more IAS (90 total) you can reach the 9/3 breakpoint which I do not recommend. When you fire 10 shots, you use up 36 frames.

The difference between a 13/3 strafe and a 9/3 strafe is a mere 4 frames at the cost of 70 IAS (not worth it). If there are 24 frames in a second, you save 1/6th of a second every 10 shots.

However, lets add 30% more IAS to your 90 to hit the 9/2 strafe. First arrow is 9 frames, remaining 9 are 2 frames each totaling up to: 27 frames! Reaching 120% IAS is very very important for a bowazon with a Windforce. If you use a WWS you can obtain that speed with much less IAS but you're not using a WWS.

The reason I say no more no less than 120% IAS is because the next 2 levels up save you almost nothing.

8/2 strafe saves you 1 frame every 10 arrows compared to the 9/2 strafe, and you need an extra 27 IAS.

7/2 strafe with a Windforce requires 292 IAS and saves you 2 frames compared with the 9/2 strafe (1/12th of a second every 10 shots!)

And if you can't get 120% IAS, don't get any at all (WF has 20 already).

Before you all set your hearts in stone on 120 IAS we are talking about fractions of a second here!

The maths are nice, but a WF is perfectly effective at SEVERAL shooting speeds and it's really down to personal preference what IAS bp your zon has. Having tried all IAS bp's bar the 292 (which is impossible with a WF anyways), i'd have to disagree and say that the "best" imho is the 90 bp as this gives an excellent tradeoff between shooting speed and flexability in selecting your gear. Of course if u have the jewels for it, using 40/15's and getting 147 IAS, (or 157 depending on which IAS tables you use), is going to kill faster.

You should also consider other mods from your gear aswell, for example the 45 IAS Black Hades musafat mentions is ok, but there are far far better armours for a zon, and to make that particular choice based soley on getting 120 IAS is silly.

On a side note, using 40/15's on a WF zon is a pretty pointless waste of excellent (and 99% duped) jewels. With a decent IAS shooting speed - ie 90 / 120 / 147, and good mods from gear you will be killing fast anywhere in an 8 man game.

I also play with 90 ias using wf, however I play hyrbid amazon and its really is the most flexible way, I also dont use strafe so the important factor to me is the first number, so to me 9/2 and 9/3 are no different, that being said I still believe the next break is at 147 for multi and freeze, cant comment on the strafe tho...
