Does poison jav and plague jav really work in duels?

Just wondering.. if you poison someone with those.. is it just like using poison nova?? I know poison jav and plague do about 20k more dmg.. but will it have a dramatic effect in duels??

Also if i do.. lets say 30k.. will i damage monsters in hell..

Yes it does work, annoying as hell too. I usually just drink about 20 antidotes before dueling any chars that use psn as main attack.

Hmm cool.. well most players dont realize that they can use antidotes in pubby games.. but i also have lf and ga for backups.. thanks for the info..

30k is weak, if youre good, youll have like 100,000+ damage plague javelin :)

90 or 95 poison res and death's gloves = poison tickles against me

Yup, thats disadvantage of any elemental attack. GA + absorb/PLR = no go. Wish I could do that against magic, :grrr:

And I think 100k is already pushing max. REalistically, I think 90ish is the best you can hope for. As for Plague, its good if you can catch pubbies unaware since everyone expects CS. But as the poster said, once they switch to 95 gear, things get harder.

Yeah im poor on L so i dont have the equip or charms to up my skills.. but even with 90k youll have trouble in duels? wow.. well like i said most people arent that smart in pubby games.. unless they live for duels

Hi guys,
I hav a lvl 81 psn javazon and right now I do at least 50k and i dont hav full equip on yet. I use a wf and still manage to hit 8fps on swap. I am planning on using bow far away and then once they try to come close with pally or barb surprise them with a couple plague javas. I am not sure how efficient my technique will be, but I only need 2 more lvls to finally wear all my equip.

update:
i just finished lvling my zon and i deal 68k with plague java and i do 4.2k guided arrow on swap. I was in duels and i did not die once, but i noticed i hav very bad res and am looking into trading for sum res gear.
But i believe this char was an overall success.

My plague does 98.5k, and it works wonders in duels, since theres no absorb for poisen, you cant 100% resist it, but people do stack resistances, which becomes a problem, so i just psn them and either us Lf or Cs, and they usually die.

My damage is similar to yours, around 9.4 post-BO. Great against melee, hard vs. casters. I'm having to rely on LF too much against fast tele necs and sorcs. Essentially, you're just hoping they make a mistake and land on the cloud.

For casters, you should use poisen javalin instead of plague. Yes the duration is longer, but you can repeatedly throw them around the screen, so when a sorc or necro does come to attack, he will get poisoned. After about 8-16 seconds they will be down to 1 life, and than i either switch to bow or Lf them for the last hit. It works real good, expecially vs sorcs, but for necros takes time to master.
