In one of the guiides on this site, it was recommended that you "upgrade your Goldwrap" to 4 rows. I have no idea what that means or how to do it, but it sounds like something I would like to do to mine.

Can someone please enlighten this noob?

Thanks in advance.....Charlie Acord

Goldwrap is a heavy belt. Heavy belt is a 'normal' belt. Items in diablo 2 can come in 3 ways, normal, exceptional or elite, e.g. Colossus Blade is the elite version of great sword, and executioner sword is the exceptional version.

By upgrading your goldwrap to the exceptional version (battle belt) you get your extra potion slots.
To to this you put your goldwrap in your cube with a Tal rune, a Shael rune and a perfect diamondThis will increase goldwrap's defence and requirements aswell as the number of belt slots.

If for any reason you wanted to upgrade it further to its elite version (troll belt) then you would put the goldwrap battle belt in the cube with a Ko rune, a Lem rune and a perfect diamond, however this recipe only works on ladder so if you are on non-ladder you can only go as far as battle belt.

Wow... so how many rows can you ultimately get?

Four. Potion rows are determined by the item's base type, in this case Heavy Belt (3), Battle Belt (4) and Troll Belt (4). All exceptional and elite belts, along with the Plated Belt (normal) have four potion rows.

Thanks a lot guys, this really helps, and was very informative!! Now to find a Shael rune...

BTW, there's not any chance that this process could screw up my Goldwrap, like remove the MF or something, is there?

All the magical attributes would be the same. Only the base ac and the item class will change. Appears and magical attributes should be exactly the same.

imo If your really that bothered about the extras slots i suppose u can upgrade the belt but personally i would rather use the runes/gems to upgrade armor instead of a belt as they tend to give you a bigger increase in defence.

Just for future reference, EVERYTHING to do with diablo 2 can be found on this site somewhere or other, just have a look around the front page and you will see links to all sorts of useful information.
