I followed shank's guide and made a pit strafer
I am lvl 73 and I am just able to use WF, My damage is a lot different than Shank's (only 1.7k max)
my gears consist of:
clean wf
raven, manald, highlord
Chancy
Nat boot
Clean shako
razortail
Crow Caw
I tried a practice run and I noticed I am very low on hp and I die in like 3 hits. It takes about 4-6 shots to kill most monsters and 2 for yellow fallens.
Shank or Liessa: can u guys give me some advice?? Im not to good with zons, this is my first pit zon
My skills if any1 want to know:
20 Strafe
20 Penetrate
56% Critical Strike
75%+ Pierce
lvl 15 Valk
Thx in advance
Could be any number of things...hard to tell without knopwing your stat allocation.
If you're taking hits, then your strategy is a bit off. Your Valk and Merc should be your active meatshields, and your zon should be providing support fire. The Pit is best run in a stop'n'go approach...where you run to the edge of a cleared area, fire a Strafe volley, and if nothing happens, run ahead a little more...rinse and repeat. If your strafe triggers, keep firing, and if you need to, run back behind your meatshields.
gear-wise...I'd reccomend getting a Skulder's if possible, and some rare boots with mf on them (or wartravs).
If you're having trouble killing things with a WF, switch out Highlord's for Atma's...and pump that dex.
hope this helps,

From the details you posted i'd guess it was your gear.
If my maths is correct you have 55 IAS (20 from clean WF + 20 from Highlords + 15 from Crow Caw), giving you an 11/3 strafe (you miss 10/3 by 1 - yes ONE IAS).
If you can i'd change:
* Gloves to Laying of Hands (20 IAS + 350% damage to demons - ie most of the pit)
* Shael the WF
* Swapping the Manald for either another Ravenfrost, or some nice Rare with Life Leech as i don't see any LL in your gear.
* Personally i prefer Cat's Eye over Highlords, if you can, at least try out the Cat's Eye and see if you prefer it.
* As Xiamet mentions, both skullders (for the +skill - to replace the lost point on highlords maybe, or an extra one if u prefer highlords, and mf), and WT's - for the vita, str (if needed), +mf and the +damage are excellent options and ones i suggest to aim for. The OW on the Crow Caw isn't very effective imo on a strafer, and i tend to leave OW / CB to melee chars.
You will be fairly low on res's, but i really think you can do without, esp if you take X's advise and learn to use your merc/valk as meat sheilds. Try a few runs with the suggested gear, leaving the Shako and the Skullders clean. If you really can't survive without the res's than whack Um's in the 2 open sockets.
I assume you have a might merc? is he the same level as you, and does he have lots and lots of LL on his gear to help him survive?
Also what sort of stats have you got?
Lastly, my strafers damage is very high due to the poison damage small charms she is carrying around, she has about 1500 in pdsc's.
If you haven't got the budget for all the items i suggested, i'd aim for the Laying of Hands and Shael the WF as a priority, as this will take you up 2 strafe bp's to 9/3. This means that u will leech quicker, and Knockback more often, aswell as doing damage faster.
Not to sound condescending, but maybe you do play her too offensive.
I build a Strafezon on HC Ladder with a WWS (Following Liessa's advice). She had a lot less damage than you. (under 1000..maybe even only 700..but of course my DS level was at 90% and amp would help) but also about 1000 HP.
Taking it slow was the key for me...casting decoys often ahead. I never ran into any trouble in the pit...but I should admit that I also never encountered Fanaticism Archers or other mean bosses.

thx guys i think the main problem is that I lack the strafing skills, I chagned my gears a bit:
Eth skullder - Crow Caw
Cats eye - highlord
I can do much better now since i gained 2 lvls and got a merc who uses reaper and gaze
Thx guys
