The re-equiping Guru thread (Im sharing..)

Well, this sin has a long history to me. It started about 6 months ago when I was slightly bored and tired of seeing the same old trappers over and over again. I began thinking of a build that used the lesser used traps in PVP, and did not use the over spammed skill of MB. In the end, I came up with TenthGuru, the first sin I have ever made that used a shield and traps. It was great new grounds for me. Guru focused on two of the greatest skills ever, Fire blast and Shockweb, with a backup of Charged bolt sentry and Lighting Sentry. I had planned for her to be the first character I had build since my sin for Clan Manarpls where I would spend all that I owned, and would go all our on her, Sadly however, She got Axed by CH and I never finished gathering her charms.

I have decided now to re gear her for basic private dueling, before her death, I was sitting high and mighty at about:

Level 37 FB: 3594-4237 dmg
Level 36 SW: 6-2493 per spike (22 spikes)
Level 24 CBS: 4-512 per bolt (11 bolts) This stuns like mad
Level 36 LS: 6-6205

However, those numbers are with only 3 trap charms, far from being finished. I had a Whistans to use when I was going up against heavy melee guys. (Normally used a lidless), but I rarely strayed from the lidless. was casting BOS at about 20 (its base, Have shadow claws). I used pretty standard gear:

Shako w/ Um
Maras
Enigma
Hoto
Sojs
Trangs belt
Magefists
WW

I was sitting on about 1750 life and max block with the whistans, and even though I didnt have MB, this build was so far from being a toy/joke build. It could hold its own quite well, and its main goal was to keep the oppenent moving with web and traps, till they made the mistake of running over a blast. Since I have decided that I want to enjoy having my first trapper, be a different new-age kind of trapper, I just wanted to share this with my friends here, and jump around for joy. This thread is mainly me sharing my happiness, so yea, im a happy beaver...

Well, I hope to start trading again tomorrow (ug, I hate trading), and then I will be back to dueling, since she is already built, it shouldnt be too long before I can start dueling again. Actully, when I first started to make this guy, I really wanted to make a Guide, and since it now has new life, and I may get to get all 10 charms this time, I may still write that guide afterall. :D

Hm, a FB/SWeb Trapper sounds quite interesting. My main question is: how you can manage to catch teleporting characters with a lot of FCR, given it takes quite some time for an FB to complete its arc? Or do you teleport right next to an opponent and bomb away? I'll be looking forward to the guide. :)

Well most of the time, I time the fb as they are coming around (or just fill the screen :D ), also, when dealing with Tele'ing guys, I often let my LS do the chasing, and hit them as they fly away. However, since with all casters, they have to stop and then cast, I can tele on top of them and drop a few quick blasts on them. I had to learn to throw blasts at my feet for situations like that because thats the way I deal with WW barbs. I chunk a few at my feet/where the barbs are coming to WW me, and then side step and let them run right over the blast.

And yes, the arc = nothx :rant:
