What makes scepters with + to holy shield so valuable :scratch: ? The reason I'm asking is because I read this.

they are banned, and also, + to holyshield doesn't spawn anymore, so if you do find one, it's gonna be REALLY expensive.

A scepter with + paladin or combat skills with + holy shield would be a somewhat ideal smite weapon. Unfortunate that they don't spawn anymore, as was stated above.

Actually, I read another post, can't remember when but Strength_Honor or Fonis was involved in it. Something to do with it does spawn but extremely rare. Maybe someone who read that post can point to it.

Ok, thanks for the replies. Last night I was trading with a member from this site. I told I had a divine scepter with 5 sockets and +3 to holy shield that I've found long ago. He said it was worth "a boatload of runes"... :scratch:

yeah they still exist just rare to find one, although there's like 100000000 of them on east L and NL cause they got duped into oblivion.

you can still find rosebranded other items to buff holyshield, i use a +3 ammy and +3 war sword alongside hoz, adds about 2k more def

They do exist as i just had one drop on me even tho its just a lowly +1 to HS and a +1 to meditation.

I've got one. It's +2 paladin skills +3 HS. It dropped sometime back around 1.04 I think, before there were +3 to skill tree mods. It's about the oldest item I have since my other old account perished.

I have a 3 socketed scepter with +1 holy shield on it. how rare could they be? i have been playing a for a few weeks is all.

It all comes down to luck. I had only been playing for six months when I found my third SOJ, all of which were from Hell Meph. Meanwhile, I know people who have been playing for years, and undoubtadly killed Meph many more times than I have, and they still haven't found one SOJ.

I think people want the scepters on an angle for a +3 + x = whatever holy shield, right?

Mine is a verticle one so it can only have 3 sockets. hm. I guess someone could save several pts not placing directly into holy shield.

Really, it is all very silly. One could make a max smite, max holy shield, and still get a very large other attack as a backup for PI's or whatever else they need to kill. peopel freak on a few points. or a few points of a bigger stat.

Yeah, I can see that now. 5 pts if you dont use smit or charge. that would be annoying having to spend 5 pts to get it! If you had a torch, +8 skills, hoz extra +2 combat skills, and a plus 1 scepter even, thats +1 HS, that actually could last a while. Hm. good point.
