Hey guys, as you can tell this is my first post. I finally registered to the forum because I thought up an idea I thought was pretty cool and wanted to know how other people thought of it, and I figured this was the best place to do it. On to the point I guess.

I've not seen a dueling league before and I thought it'd be neat to make one. There would be a website that would act as the "base of operations" and would have character (and player) stats (wins, losses, etc.), upcoming duels and their times, competitions, a forum, and, of course, an online rulebook for the duels.

Each duel will have to be mutally accepted by both players. Each do will have a referee to monitor it to make sure that none of the players break the rules. The referee will also hold any items that the players want to use as a bet (it won't be mandatory for players to put an item up for the winner to take, the main purpose of this is fun, but people can do it if they like). The duels won't be limited to 1v1 either and groups can fight as long as all members of the groups agree.

I need people to help me out with this and won't buy a domain and get a website out there until I know that people are interested. If you think this is a cool idea, please let me know about any ideas you have that can further help the league and if you are willing to help set it up. Nothing I have is set in stone and I'm very willing to listen to other people.

Thanks,
Angel's Loser

There already is one.

However, you could easily create another one with different rules, I'm sure there's a demand for a "loser" dueling league, meaning with more openness to what is allowed.

I also started such a thread a while back. I don't know about the "loser" part, mep, but it is a place where older characters can still duel and where some things are a little more balanced for us. Search the forum for the thread titled attn. east duelers. That should explain it, and most of the rules are in the revised section towards the end.

OOops, wow, that was harshe and totally not what I meant to put.

I meant "looser" not loser, damn, I completely apologize for that. It wasn't what I intended to write at all.

Amazing what a typo can do.

It's all good. I throw out typos all the time too. Anyway, I want to thank you both for pointing me to the dueling leagues. They both look pretty cool. Well, I'm a firm believer in not reinventing the wheel, so I'm going to try and join clan honor. Thanks again for your help.

Just letting you know, BB has stated he won't allow "league creation" or advertisement threads in the pvp forum. You have to do it in the player matchup forum.

You are welcome to see if you can get some interest going. Let me just warn you from personal expereince it takes a massive amount of work, time, and interest to actually get a dueling league going.

oops on the bb part. Thanks for letting us know that garbad, and I can back you up on the time, effort, and work part. It does take a while.
