D2 PvP Bowazon Help

Hello I still play the regular d2 and need some help for my PvP bowazon. I don't know what I did wrong because I get killed by many players. For my skills I have guided maxed, critical up to 50%, dodges all 50%.

Equipment is pretty good: Rune dart bow, twitchthroe, boots that give some resists, 2 socket pruby helm, manald heal ring, soj, and eye of elitch.

To me these are pretty good items and all but I get owned by barbs and many others as well. My guided does about 358 max... Any help would be nice. NOTE: Plz give advice dealing only with normal d2 not expansion

hi i also had a classic zon pvp a couple of month ago when i played classic ok so in classic the toughest duelers to face are skilled bone necs and barbs (and some good chargers). my bowazon owned all without a duped 99 cetnt runeharps from ebay :cheesy: (please drop the dupes)

she had a imbued gothic bow with 120 dmg max and plus 10 to ias (i think its better that runeharp)

as for gear your gona have to switch setup for when your fighting casters vs. fighting melee

for casters look for attack speed---
twitch, death gloves+sash for 30 attack speed, 2 mandals , treads of cthon boots, and for helms pretty much ne thing works, and a rare ammy with resistance and plus stats

for meleers look for KNOCKBACK i repeat KNOCKBACk
twitch, clegs gloves, howltusks, 2 mandals, treads of cthon, and any belt will do fine

for stats have enought str for runebow/gothic bow and go for 200 dex and around 150 vitality

for skills max GA, bring dodge to 50 avoid to 60 and evade to 50, put 10 points into ga for bringing down bone prisons from necs

finally put 1 point into slow missle, and decoy and a couple in to penetrate for extra ar on Multi,

Strategy
-dont be afraid to run, run and fire, repeat till they die (make sure you have a 30 faster runing boots)

-make use of terrain in blood moor, suck as puddles to impeade chargers

- drop the soj your wearing, it doesnt help much plus mandal gives you leech plus life

-make use of slow missles against casters, esp. bone necs

-imagine you are a guerilla fighter in the jungle, use everything to your advantage, hotkey decoy, multi, and sm, USE those skilllssss!!!!!!!!

I play Classic too :D Currently, I have a pure Physical Bowazon who does duel and is pretty succsessful. Although, this is on Ladder, which means everybody is Legit. I see a couple of problems with your build:

50% Critical to me is too low. Personnally, I have a nice 63% chance.
YOU NEED MORE IAS! Get some gloves with 20% or try the Deaths Sash/Hand combo to get 30% IAS, 8%LL (doesn't apply to PvP, but still nice for PvM) and the almighty Cannot be Frozen. If you have 20% IAS gloves but still don't hit the next breakpoint, be desperate and throw on a Goldwrap or use Deaths.
358 is decent damage, it could go up to 700 with a Critical, but you at least need some damage to go with it.

I need more information to help you further.

One paticularly good PvP build is to get the 8fps breakpoint with Rogues Bow. Make sure you get one with perfect ED. Now, invest into Guided Arrow (20 points), and max Exploding arrow and Immolation arrow. Then invest around 10 points into Critical Strike, and the rest into D/A/E.

Stat points should go like this:
Str: Base-27
Dex: Base
Vit: The Rest
NRG: None
At around level 80, you should dish 100 dmg GA (get as much max dmg things as possible), and 1000 dmg Immolation Arrow and level 20. Aim for +5 skills for 1500 Immolation dmg and an about 15 dmg increase in GA.

Life should be around 1500+.

Note: Try to stand in one spot for as long as possible. If the enemy is moving vertically into you, blast IA then EA at them. If they're moving horizontally, use GA. Quite simple.

That's a nice and simple build. You may think 100 dmg is low, but when you attack that fast their life goes down damn fast. For your Bowazon, if you're not in Ladder, you're most likely dueling people with pure duplicated equipment, giving a legit player A HUGE disadvantage.

hey classics that does look like a pretty cool zon how viable is it for pvp? i always go for a rare gothic bow when i make a zon but never seen a single zon use a rouge bow???? and i think standing in 1 place is suicide considering zons are the third fastest chars in classic (1st=tele sorc, 2=charger, 3=ne char with light armor and a light weapon)

Very viable. Even more viable with knockback, if you can somehow incorperate that into your build. Try for 50% resists with this build, you'll be dodging 50% of the attacks :drool:.

PS. You won't be staying completely still. I think I accidently incorperated that. The point of this is only to dodge attacks needed to be dodged. AKA: Run from WW, move away from BH (Blessed Hammer, not a Battle Hammer), and run and shoot from Zeal. But, stay still as long as possible. The longer you're still, the more shots you fire, the more they die.
