It is time to celebrate! Ricky Williams anounced that he was retiring last night sometime around 2:00 A.M. I am so happy because now I don't have to worry about my brother being able to beat me at madden because of some overrated rigged RB. But wait! Madden 2005 comes out in about 3 weeks, and I don't know if thats enough time to fix the roster because it may already have been distributed. However, Ricky Williams is not a 60 overall CB on the Bengals, he is one of the best (even though he shouldn't be) players in the game. Now the Dolphins are SOOOOOO screwed, no RB and there QB was that backup from the Eagles. It is just so damn funny...

Wow, I've never seen someone so excited over a retirement for a VIDEOGAME. Wow, man, wow.

Madden is my life from the time it comes out to until football season ends... everything else gets put on hold. I also hate Ricky Williams dreadlocks so now I don't have to see them anymore.

I liked the dreadlocks. For one reason: The NFL deemed it legal to tackle by pulling them.

I'm glad he's gone just incase the Steelers have to paly them. I can't wait to see the Bus and Duce lined up in the same backfield....

Hahaha...the Bus and Duce in the same backfield...thats like having Mike Alstott and Warrick Dunn in the backfield at the same time...only one of em is getting the ball and the other one is just there for eye candy. Neither one of em is gonna take the time and the effort to perhaps run a route into the flat or execute a decent run fake to try and draw off a middle or an outside linebacker. The Bus isnt concerned with anything but how and when hes gonna retire. Duce is notoriously selfish as well. Essentially, pitt is paying high salaries to two backs who arent gonna produce enough to warrant having them both.

I never really liked Williams, but you don't like him because of Madden :cheesy:. And the Dolphins have always been screwed.

So much for Miami.

I'm still puzzled why they wanted AJ Feeley. He was Koy Demter's backup - Not a position of prestige at all. The reason he went 4-1 was because he played against weak teams: St. Louis (which had a bad season in 2002), Seattle (didn't make the playoffs, I think), Washington (terrible that season), Dallas (this was before Parcells took over, when Dallas got steamrolled every game againt the Eagles), and the Giants (Eagles lost this game).

Williams should have given alittle more notice instead of a week before training camp starts. A week ago the dolpins could have tried for Eddie George. Now they have almost no chance to replace Williams. Also Williams can screw them over on the salary cap if he doesn't show up for camp but doesn't sign the retirement papers either. :buddies: Good thing I'm a Panthers fan.
