Explain MB a lil to me

I have a question about mindblast... When you cast this skill and it stuns them for the brief period. It continues with the twirly thing above their head. Does this mean that they are hit recovery mode for that duration of time?

when they are hit by mb they go into hit recovery anim, and while the swirly stars are over their heads any attack that hits will make them go into hit recovery again

I just reallly started dueling with my kickasin but it seems I do ALOT better against melee characters when I mb them right away. Should I keep casting this even if the swirly thing still exists above their head or should I keep re-casting and kicking?

just cast it often enough to keep the swirls over their head when your on the attack, and of course cast it when on the run from them for the knockback it helps you re-posistion yourself alot easier.

the initial hit of mb causes knockback, while the swirl nulls their hit recovery, hence they cannot attack when being hit
