Need help. Newbie questions

I bought D2 a week ago and am a total newbie. I've been playing online and got to level 32 paladin, with the help of some baal runs which my friend got me doing to level up quicker. After i got to level 32, it gave me the title of slayer and since then every game i join i create, i end up back at Act1. Why is that? I was told it's because I'm now doing Knightmare difficulty(if thats true) Is there anyway to do more baal runs? (these r good especially since my Pal altho lev 32 dies easily) I want to level up to about 45 as thats what my friend is at. She's been playing it for about 2 years and still expects me to know things whereas i'm kinda struggling.

Help is much appreciated. I have been asking people in game on europe realm, for help but they dont have time to answer or they dont speak english.

Once you kill Baal in normal you move on to Nightmare difficulty. Kill Baal in NM and you move on to Hell. In both cases, you start from scratch with the quests for the Acts.

There are ways to go do runs from the previous difficulty, some are easy, others not so easy. Here's the ways from hardest to easiest.

1) Use a different character to "scout" games that you'd want to join. Then log into the char you want to use and type in the game name, hoping that it hasn't filled up.

2) Join a game that a friend created. They send you the game name and pass if there is one, and you join up.

3) Create your own run game, invite your friends or hope people join up.

On option 3. I create a new game but it always takes me to act one. How do I create a run game please? thanks for your help

Be sure to select the correct difficulty level when creating a run game. In your case, you want to be sure to have Normal selected. If you don't you'll be in NM, and stuck in act 1.

Once you create a run game (or any other) just use the Waypoints to go to the act you want to run in, and go from there.

my suggestion is the first of the three options...and by the way, every time you go back and forth between difficulty levels,(normal to nightmare, and nightmare to hell, and vise versa) your charector is automatically put into act one of the given difficulty. and good luck with the palladin :thumbsup:

i'd just like to add that in case u were stuck with creating the normal or nightmare games, u select what difficulty level you want at the bottom of the page that is brought up when u select "create". i no that when i first started, i commonly forgot to make the game nightmare or hell if that was what i wanted, and did it instead in normal...
