i have a question since the cow set can only be dropped by cows. is it possible to find parts of the set in chest and under rocks on the farm also? i notice that every once in awhile a set item will pop out but it was never part of the cow set so it got me wondering.

I don't know for certain, but I hardly doubt it. Chests and rocks have a level to calculate drops, but I don't think they can be identified as being located in a certain area.

This Set can only be collected in the Cow Level.
Nothing here to suggest the pieces can't be collected from props.

looks like i'll have to keep flipping rocks. if i ever come across one i'll report back.
