View Full Version : How long does it take to create your best pvp char?

I think it took me all of last ladders season. Finally it was done 3 week before the ladder resetted. I was looking for that last jewel for my COA. Trading was immensely painful dealing with idiots with vocab limited to "wug", "show", "offer", etc...
That was with rune duping making things cheaper. This season, who knows how long it's gonna take without duping to speed things up.
Without the dupes - Forever.

if someone takes 2 years to make a pvp char godly they suck it took me about 6 days to make a lvl 87 hf zealer that owns all. :buddies:

neone who takes 2-3 years to make a godly pvp char sucks. it took me about6 days to hit lvl 87 and hae a godyl holyfreeze zealer pally that owns all.

he means aquiring the items, planning evrything and then finally leveling your char to 85+, not just lvling the char. of course some people on the forums will remake their "perfect" character many a time over to make it just right.

i must say that the perfect duel char is one that can also quest his way through the entire game, therefor voiding your dueler(in my opinion at least) if you actually do quest(no rushes) then please point me wrong, but please do not lie about it.
and my best duel char took about 6 months to finally complete. even though he was originally intended for pvm :yep:
My best dueler was a lld. It took about a day's worth of time (this over a week or so), but that's with inconsistencies in glitch rushing.

it has taken me 5 years of playing to build good PvP chars. Constant experimentation is required to perfect PvP (not to mention the endless MF runs..... Me and Pindle have pretty much become good buddies....) and it is still a long road ahead. How I remember my first lancer.... oh it was a great....... *rambles on indistinctively*

My barb is lvl 94..to get all the gear etc was the culmination of at least since last oct, when 1.10 came out., excluding the minor stuff i had before then. Lvling took like 2 months.

I know he is talking about ladder, but still, I count all the time I have played to think up and experiment to create my monsters. Perhaps I am thinking of this too much as art....

I think the point here was missed. I think the poll was based on how long it took since you started playing the game. Not already having the items and then baal rushing him to 87.
For me, I started playing the game about 3.5 years ago and since then, ive built 9 barbs. The majority of the first ones were lancers (when lances were popular) and then the last 3 have been S/S. It took me 3 tries to get the S/Ser right and I also got him to lvl 99 in 08 after i knew he was built right. He goes by the name "Ikillplayers." haha Im a dork....

No way you can get a near perfect setup for any pvp char in 6-7 days regardless of how rich you are.
You can post on every trading board and stay in the channels all day, you still wont get a lot of what you need.

hey guys im new on the diablo 2 sub ject......took me 1 week to train a lvl 87 palidan..

without duping, never, even with duping i think the hours it would take to craft my ammy/cube 45 life life charms would be way to much time, i dont think more than a couple of people on west ever had 10 45 life skill charms except for the duped lightning skill charms that were kinda ez to get
