Cows????

So I keep hearing these stories about cows? Hell Bovine? Whatever.. lol, can someone explain.. I've heard someone say something about that Wirt's Leg thing that you can find in Tristram and opening a portal...??? Can someone throw me a bone.....er... leg here?

Once you complete a difficulty level (Normal, Nightmare, Hell) you can then go back into that difficulty level, Act 1. Go to Stoney Field and find the stone ring to go to Tristam. Find Wirts body and take his leg. Go back to town. Go buy a Tome of Town Portal. Put the leg and Tome into the cube and transmute.

A red portal will open, leading to the Moo moo Farm (the cow level). Just be sure you're high enough that you can kill them before going in alone because sometimes you can appear VERY close to a herd of cows. And if you're not ready for them, it can be over extremely fast with no way to get your body back except by leaving the game.

and be warned there are ALOT of cows, be ready to come out swinging.

Just be cautious of the Cow King. There are rules that if broken mean you wont be able to open the portal in that difficulty again, these rules are:

1) you can't kill the Cow King personally.
2) Another party memeber who hasn't killed the cow king can not kill him while you are in the Moo Moo farm.

If these rules are broken you will not be able to open the portal in that difficulty anymore.

The best way to avoide loosing your opening priviliges is to leave the Moo Moo farm if someone in the game starts killing the King and to wait in town. If you are in town when the King dies you don't loose your opening priviliges.

Cows are rather easy to kill individually. However they come in groups and its pretty much impossible to seperate them into individual cows, and anyway the trick to killing cows is being able to take them down in big groups.

It's not a bad skill for cow slaying but by no means the best. Wait till you see a Lightning Fury Zon, Multi shot Zon or Nova Sorc rip through them!

I think the best character against cows are a necromancer with corpse explosion. It's a breeze to kill them all with very little risk.

Woah... Amazons, Necros and Sorcs... so much more I've yet to sample from DII. Thus far, it's only been Paladin (Zealot) and a Barb (unsure what sorta barb tho).

Well, haha, I should have read the rest of those posts before I went to the cowlevel and anihilated everything! :( I guess I won't be heading back there anytime soon. As for booty, not too bad.. I think I found close to 15 different gems of varying qualities, and two set items. As for difficulty, I was playing a lvl 40 fury Wearwolf druid, and it was not a problem at all, the lined up and fell like bowling pins. When that fury gets moving it pretty insane. Anyways, I guess I'll remember for next time to not kill the King. Boourns..! :grrr:
