View Full Version : Some Help With Finishing Touch Lightzon
Hiya all, my lightzon currently has LS, LF and CS maxed, 1 in all passives, 1 strafe, 1 freezing arrow. I still have some skillpoints left so i was wondering were to put em. I won't put em on strafe or freezing arrow because i never use em. (small miscalc in my build) So I'm looking for a place to spend em.
Any suggestions?

it's both - as i assume it's base as you said "1 in all passives" but without u posting your gear i have no clue as to it's actual level :D
So i'll suggest Peirce again, tho it is also a question "what % peirce you got?"
I'll also add Valk as another question and suggestion :D

Getting Pierce to a good level aids LF greatly. I like Lightning Strikes Chain Lightning better than LF personally and I use Lightning Bolt as my ranged attack. That way I don't need a lot of points in pierce.
If you are looking for an alternate attack form ie Cold, Fire, Physical, etc. I would suggest Strafe/CS. You should be able to get decent IAS on your build and its not like you will get better damage from IA or FA, especially since you won't have time to synergize it.
About using bow and arrows? No way, i found out that its totally NOT my playing style, i hate it, can't make it work, it just sucks for me ;) Really a total waste of skill points in all the prereqs to get strafe/freezing arrow. Lesson learned, i'll try better next time. So no bow for me ;) Ill keep my javvies..
Well my character is lvl 76 and has like...crap gear..(the finding of stuff on new ladder has abandoned me) and i have...+1 to all skills total...I do plan on getting Titans, Lionheart, Java gloves, thundergods/razortail (which one's better?) and a ravenfrost and dual leech ring..I've not quite decided which shield i will be using. Does that help?

before spending your remaing skill pts, I'd suggest that you shop for better gear - 2 or 3 hours shopping/gambiling.
Though Titan's and SS and so on are not a must for a javazon, you need a good weapon and a nice shield. Other than those two, You can buy all of your items you need. Optional gambiling, if you have lots of gold, will help a lot too.
what stuff would u suggest buying then? I'm currently wearing stuff i found myself: Rockfleece, Manalds, Bladebuckle and an Ancients Pledge..Rest is rares..
The gear you listed was fine to me.
Although I suggest using Razortail - razortail gives the max pierce you need, plus you have a couple of other skills (I've got quite a few skills added to my passive tree from my gear) from gear which can add more to pierce if its insufficient.
Titans are relativaly cheap now, as everyones still in the craze for shakos and sorc gear. I suggest you go gather 25-50 pgems OR a lum rune, where you can get Titans AND some pgems if your lucky. We're in the same realm so I know some of the prices :)
I suggest levelling your other lightning skills a bit more, for that extra kick in damage. Make sure you have 17 in Valk though, its a great tank which can draw attention from you.

Thanx man, would really appreciate that. Allthough which lightning skill do you mean? Lightning Bolt? Or Power Strike? Or something else?:) Don't have 17 in valk though..Mainly because i have no idea how many +skill items i will get later on in the game. I can't really say that i just started, only problem is that i don't find good gear :)
Um, its up to you which you choose since they both give the same strength synergy.
I have 15 in valk, since valk still comes useful after level 17.
One thing: I'm not super sure about Razortail giving max pierce, but it gives 33%, combine that with your other pierce points and you should have enough pierce :)

Thanx..I'm a level 76 now, have like 5 skill points from previous level ups, so lvl 15 Valk could be achieved without a lot of hard work. Did you check if you had some stuff i might be able to use? And do you find best..LB or PS?
And another thing i would want ur opinion on..Best gear..my thoughts were:
Griffons /w facet
Mara's
Lionheart (CoH is pretty unaffordable for me)
Eth titans upped
Razortail/Thundergods
+2 Jav gloves with nice extra...
Boots and shield i have no clue about. Maybe Sanctuary for a shield?
Well, I'm going to skill LB, but I won't use either because LF/Cs easily outmatch both, in EVERY way if you ask me.
Griffons - Yep, that has to be the best for damage. I'm going Shako for MF though.
Maras - Same, 2 skills and res, extremely useful.
Lionheart - Its a good armor, offers all you need apart from skills. I'm using this at the moment.
Eth Titans Upped - Either these or Tstrokes, but Titans are better I think overall. Although the Tstrokes with Griffons and a few facets leaves monsters in the dust, I'm not sure if it'll conquer Light Immunes but it would be nice to see.
Razortails - Offensivelly yes, but for Defence you want Tgods. razortail is the much faster killer though.
2 Java gloves - Draculs are possibly better, Life after kill, Life Leech, Strength, Life Tap. Life tap will leave you almost INVUNERABLE. Allows you to leech of anything, but its good.
Boots - My personal choice is WT, adds damage, vit/str, MF, FRW. But there are many other good choices, Goreriders to aid that Jab..Sanders boots for the FRw/Str/Dex. ETc.
Shield - Sanctuary is Optimal if you ask me, its the best shield for you as it offers a ton of res. Stormshield is just as good, but a Sanctuary is great too, 50-70 res is fantastic. Res is actually quite important which I've failed to realise. My encounters with diablo have been 100% successful, but that doesn't mean his fire manuvers don't pack a punch.
I found a set of javelins for you, dual leech and not bad physical damage. Offers mana after kill too, its not bad.
I plan to use Sanctuary.
I'm on *Melfice. (dot included) at the moment just muling.
