View Full Version : Moltenado
ok ive started a hybrid of a elemental druid and so far he is doing just fine on /players 8 in normal in SP (if you dont know /players 8 is the command used in single player to emulate 8 people in the game making the monster have higher HP and so fourth.) His main skills will be Molten Bolder and Tornado with synergise for both. I plan on using this gear set up eventually:
Helm: Ravenloare (if i can find one.) otherwise Jale's Mane
Armour: Enigma
Gloves magefist
Weapon: HoTo
Shield: not sure, suggestions?
Belt: Arachnid mesh.
Ring1: BK
Ring2: Raven frost or Dwaf star
boots: silkweaves or something, not quite sure yet.
Ammy: Mara's
Now my question is if i can get my hands on some elemental charms should i be able to cope in a /players 1 single player game in the early to late Hell stages?
Thanks for any help.

Sounds like you have Atma or something, cause that's some damned good gear for SP...
I'm not sure about MB beign viable with so few synergy points, and both MB and Tornado do (at least some) physical damage. A normal "bargan" skill selection from the Fire Tree is Fissure + Volcano, good fire damage and a selection of focused and AoE damage. If you then wanna take Tornado + Hurricane from the wind tree, that should give you some physical and cold damage too, rounding you out to three different damage types.
I'm sure there was a post recently about this being viable in hell.
Ok, so it was about PvP, but that can't be too bad a thing. [link] (http://www.rpgforums.net/showthread.php?t=224534)

I think you would survive early hell at /players 1.
The problem is that both tornado and molten boulder act a similar role. When a monsters approach at a certain direction you will cast either one towards them, hoping you will score hits. Boths area of effect is its path and they even deal partly the same type of damage, physical. The main advantages of hybrids are usually their versality and I think this one would lack it a bit.
On the positive side, molten boulder can be used defensively, cyclone armor is a tornado synergy as is hurricane(chills), so you could make it work.
Level: 38
Area: Lvling in Act 5 Normal
Status: Slayer
Helm: Peasent Crown
Weapon: Hexfire
Shield: Sigon's Guard
Armour: Skin of Viper
Belt: Sigon's Warp
Boots: Sigon's Sabot
Gloves: Magefist's
Ring1: SoJ
Ring2: SoJ
Ammy: Angelic Wings
Ive revised the build some more and because I will be maxing Cyclone armour as a synergie for tornado, ive put one point into hurricane so when CA is maxed it has a good length of time. ill leave the damage side of it to + skills and not put any points into part for the one needed to obtain the skill.
Also Molten Bolder is now maxed and im deciding whether to max Firestorm or volcano. any one have any suggestions? should i go for fire damage or physical damage? Thanks.
I will continue doing pindle and baal runs until level 50 at least.
Yes i do have ATMA, and all my chars share the enigma and HoTo.

Fire damage since tornado will eventually(hopefully) do more physical damage and a reliable source of fire damage would be good against physical resistant/immune monsters.
