I feel like creating a MF orb sorc. Anyone have opinions on what would be the BEST mf set up ? no charms included. Also, what is the best for just PvM? Someone said Chains of Honor is the best armor for sorc but i was checking out the stats and only the resists and +2 skills seem good to me. Idk. just post your opinions.

Well. The Shako/Occy/Tal's Combo probably gives you the best Mf/Survival/Killing power...

Shako
Tal's Ammy, Armor, Belt
Occy
Storm/Rhyme/Lidless/Splendor/Up'd Visc
Trangs (Cold Res is always nice); Magefist; Frostburns; Chance Guards
RavenFrost/Soj or any ring will do with +Resists - even nagels if you can spare the loss in res

With this setup in conjunction with the right charms you can easily hit 400+mf

Tal Set
Stormshield

Ravenfrost/Soj/Nagels/any ring with +Res (esp Cold/Lightning)

This would drop your gear mf down to around 200-300ish range but increase your killing power and survival to near invincible...

But...

It also depends on your build/preferences. MeteOrb builds benefit the most from a pure Tal's Setup.

Archmage or three-tree build sorcs benefit THE most from full Tals set :thumbsup: :drink:

Archs DO benefit the most from Tal's set, however a MeteOrb or a dual tree will be able to get the most bang for buck since points aren't spread out as much along with 3 very powerful spells (FO, Met, FBall). With a Arch, points are spread out immensely, though I do stand corrected on my previous statement - the -15fire and light resist and +15cold dmg do help Archs out.

But as it looks, for the most bang, MeteOrb takes the cake.

with the tals+shako+occy+splendor+travs+nagels+magefists i easily both owned hell meph and got well over 400 mf.

Oh no for killing power tal's set sucks for cold based chars...
you need
cold facet perfect nightwing (+20% to cold)
cold facet in perfect death fathom (+35% to cold)
Perfect cold ormus with facet (+20% to cold)
If you have enouth str 4 perfect cold facets in monarch alternatively 3 perfect cold facet in headhunters glory (+15-20% cold damage)
Arachnids
2 SoJ or 2 BK
+3cold/+117 mana or +3 cold/86+ life amulet
10 +1cold/40+ life skiller
healthy mix of 20life/17mana and 5resa/20 life small charms
Anni
and you all set

Well, I put MF in consideration for killing power as well. Of course you can always build a pure battle sorc for pure killing power... but for 200+MF in conjunction with great killing power, Tal's still holds it's own. I also consider survival as well - big life/mana boost, high resists, decent cast rates, good defense, decent +6 skill points from set itself. If you want more killing power, you can sacrifice PTopazes/Ists for Cold facets.
