Thank you Sorcs

Ive been reading through this forum for about the last three months have seen quite a few posts about the sorc teleporting to baal thing. Well I have something to say. I was running some nm baal runs last night with my trapper when I came upon a group of players which made an awesome party. We were destroying everything and everyone was all nice to each other. Well seeing as how I was my trapper I usually took the burden to run to the Throne Room. I don't mind, I have a lot of vit and a decent amount of speed thanks to skills. Well after the third or fourth run I was really close to lvling. Bear in mind I did not complain once this entire time, not one thing about running all the time. Well at about 3/4 through the exp bar I decided it wasn't worth the risk to actually run. There were a couple of sorcs in the game and I politely asked if they would teleport. 2 said they didn't have it, BULL$HIT! No sorc has a build without tele and if you do, I don't want to hear about it. The third sorc, *haha_udead on useast, said he would teleport, which he did. As soon as I lvled he let me know he was close to lvling himself, so I took back to running. This is the kind of sorc I like to play with. Someone understanding and honest. I had no problem with running, I never died and it didn't take all that long, I just didn't want to risk losing exp. To all you sorcs out there who act like this, thank you. Sorc's help out more then they could know in baal runs. And they are largely unappreciated and even hated. Thank you sorcs for teleporting, and to those who "Don't have teleport" I hope your testicles drop soon.

Yeah, there ARE some interesting people out there, they're just a bit shy.

And don't take offense when some sorc say they don't have teleport. Of course, they are ********ing you, but can you really blame them, since they are asked 67164 times a day the now infamous "SORC TELE"? :lol:

Of course, a sorc who agrees to teleport is a nice asset to any exp-crazy party.

maybe it's not that they don't have teleport, but instead they get shredded by Burning souls, and don't want to be called 'noob' just because bnet gods didn't drop gold toys for them...

I refuse to tele in a baal runs packed with souls. just tell them to go next.

I usally just refuse to tele altogether unless i'm asked nicely (with that strange word plz or please) or i feel like it... which isn't often.

And while were on the subject, there seems to be a new way to annoy sorcs. If i'm in a game and say that i won't tele, i sometimes get this guy that follows me with "Sorc Tele" written over his head. Ill give hima point for inventivness but then i'll take 50 away for the shear annoyence.

so if your ever in a game with a sorc, always ask politly... it will get you far.

Definitely... it's always nice to hear someone ask me nicely if I could tele for them... not the annoying: "Sorc Tele"... omfg ask like a person, not some dumbarse.

In anycase, when I'm feeling generous, I usually bring in my high level sorc to help out norm baal runs - I guess it's also an ego-boost since my sorc actually decimates everything :lol:

I always tele. If people ask it (nicely or not) and even if they don't. First off all, I'm not afraid of exp/gold loss, since this is my first SC char since the Diablo II Beta, and death is sortha insignificant in Sc. So I dont mind it. Plus I know how to tele in order not to die, which many sorcs dont know, again thats an asset you get when you play lots of hardcore.

I guess I'm in the minority, but none of my sorc builds have tele. Not one. Ive got a few sorcs running around too.

So, its interesting to see people's reaction to my telling them I dont have it. Basically, its abuse. Lovely.

But, I can see where people come from. Ive found an orb with tele on it, so I use it on my weapon switch (switch, tele). Very useful.

I dont expect anyone to tele for me (its nice when they do though). If I wanted tele in my game(s), I'd be off doing it myself. I guess there's two sides to everything.....

Whenever I have done Baal runs, I have died more often from Soul Killers, Undead Soul Killers and Serpent Magi simply due to their speed.

Knights are also a big problem as well for lots of characters since they seem to have very high fire and cold resists or immunities and lots of hit points.

All of these monsters except for the regular soul killers have also presented problems for my melee characters as well when doing Baal runs.

so what kind of tips to do you have to ele and not die?

I dont mind to tele in normal and nm baal run, but in hell i always get killed.

The trick to teleing is getting at least 63 fcr (105 is best, but 63 works fine), a T-Gods and max block preferably. Or get a hammerdin.
