Is you necro a fishymancer? The best spots for a fishymancer to mf is in the pits. This lvl 85 area has a chance to drop all items in the game.
Main mf strategies is let you skeles kill then use CE and grab the loot.
Another ideal place to mf is hell baal runs. But to do hell baal runs solo i suggest you get good resist, a good lvl DV and to lvl up alot more.

Err level up to 80+ and good "hot spots" are The Pit(act 1), Countess(act 1 for runes) Meph of course, Baal(Act 5), Pindleskin(Act 5) and while ur waiting in baal runs go kill shenk overseer....

haahhahaa! i have a ghetto sig!
You have good mf, what are your skill levels? The pit and other alevel 85 areas can be difficult without a powerful merc or high level minions. The pit in the tamoe highlands in act 1 is a great place to mf, I've found countless pieces of great eq there. Other alevel 85 areas are the mausoleum, which i believe is also in act 1 in the burial grounds, the ancient tunnels, in the lost city in act 2, level 3 of the maggot lair, the river of flame and chaos sanctuary, and the worldstone keep (all levels i think). The pit is the easiest of all these places for a necro, just make sure you have something to stop the annoying ranged bosses, they can take you out in a couple shots if you're careless.

MFing Countess is not so easy with a skelemancer of any kind.
a) The first 4 levels are VERY large. And you'll have to walk.
b) Plenty of physical immunes (ghosts). Most can be broken, but not some champions and uniques. You either have to leave them or wait while your (probably few) magi wear them down.
c) Doorways. Melee characters love doorways. Know why? Because large groups of weaker enemies are forced through one at a time. Being a skelemancer, you basically ARE a large group of weaker enemies. Gotta wait for your skeles to file into the room...
c-2) Summons are very, very stupid. If you want them to go into the next room, you have a few options: 1) Get in yourself, first. 2) Hope something is near the door to get their attention. 3) Stand near the door and cast your clay golem as far in as possible, hope he gets attacked.
d) Archers. They aren't a problem in the pits, because you aren't as exposed. In the tower, you have to constantly reposition yourself to guide your minions. Move the wrong way near a boss pack of archers (or worse yet, lag near one while exposed) and you die.
e) Pillars. Yes, pillars. They seem to always be in the way, making it difficult to cast curses or CE. Many more pillars here than stalagmites in the pits. The aforementioned archers love to run and hide behind them, making it hard for you to aim and hard for your minions to surround.
The Countess herself, however, is cake. Getting there is a *****. They (generally low) payoff isn't worth it.
My advice: start in pindle's garden, easy to pick up your skeles there, kill him while you are in the neighborhood. Do Shenk and Eldritch while you are there. If you feel up to taking on Meph or Baal, go for it. Gloams are tough, though, and it can take a while to get to Baal's throne and then through his minions. Meph is okay... a little bit of the same problem that the tower has as far as getting there, but since you generally know where the door his, you might be able to just run... I usually get impatient and do this, but I lose a few magi in the process. Once you are done with Baal and Meph (should you decide to do them) head down into the pits. Be careful, don't get ahead of yourself, and you'll cruise through, picking up stuff to sell/trade/keep while your skeles whack away at everything in their paths. Also of not should be Andy, due to the Andy bug. Similar problem here as the Tower, though.
If you are joining a populated game and don't have time for all that, just do the pits.
