What is the best gear to solo Hell Baal. Before ladder reset I had a level 89 necro that died trying this quest. Saw my Life go from 1300 life to 0 before I had a chance to Hit Esc. Damn Gloams (Lighting/Physical Damage).

Build: Summoning Necro. Maxed Skellies, Maxed Skelly Mastery, 15 Summon Resist, 1 point curses, 10 Corps Explode, 15 Revives, and ect.
Gear: I was wearing T-gods, Smoke Armor, War Travs, Shako, Gull Dagger, Dwarf & Raven Rings, Honunculus and +2 Necro Ammy.
Merk: Act II Offensive (Might)
Gear: Shaft Stop, Rock Stopper, and Reapers toll.

I would like to solo this game.

Any inputs would be appreciated.

There are plenty of ways to get around this I'm sure, but everyone is probably going to say to get Dim Vision. Maybe blocking plus max resist? Not sure if you can block the phys damage or not.

KK, do NOT put that many points in summon resist if you have that high amount of +skills (of course, if this is untwinked a few more would be needed in the beginning)

Revives too, too many points, points better used on a golem or in a poison/bone spell (like CE, thats a better place to spend points)

Decrep can make gloams fire slower, and dim vision will prevent them from shooting before your army can get in range. IF you desperately need lightning resist, a guardian angel and some charms can get you to 95 (since you already use Tgods) just for that quest, and then you could switch back to whatever gear.

Try to find more +absorb gear, even use a lightsabre on switch.

You could try a wisp projector if you can afford it.

Previous 1.10 season, my HC necro got till 93, still alive. 75 light res in hell even with low res curse from mages. No light absorb. No dmg reduction. About 1,2k life. Solo baal with necro is easy but takes time. You need to support your minions with the correct curses on the correct situations. Biggest problem for me was IM from mages, not souls. Souls are easyly engaged by skelletons, while there is a minion/char next to a soul, they won't fire lightning. The trick is to avoid lightning hiding behind walls and casting a golem in front. Skellys will go up in no time. Amp souls and they are dead. With 75 light res and 1k life you only drink the occasional super healing pot.
If souls + mages get toggether, just cast CE to blow up souls, they will not be ressurrected again.
Also, give your merc the best weapon you can get.

Gear choices deppends on if you are playing untwinked or if you are playing with tons of gear on mules.

mby you could try the attract curse. in hell mode, attract becomes a staple, alongside with amp dmg. i mean with hordes and hordes of monsters, i usually like to amp them all, then cast attract on one or two monsters in the horde (depends on size of horde) I find that my skeletons tend to live a lot longer this way.

plus i get itchy trigger fingers when it comes to gulping down full rejuvs.

I prefer Dim Vision, as I'm pretty sure the range can be larger than Attract. If you get about 5 points into DV, along with +skills gear, it will give you a healthy duration/range in Hell. Then it's a case of a softly softly approach, slowly moving through the level and keeping your cursor at the edge of the screen, ready to spam DV. You could also get some more Lightening resist, perhaps having a shield socketed with Ort runes on switch for Gloam levels, or a Wisp Projector, as Baboon suggests.

You might want to change your merc's weapon, as the % chance to curse decrepify is going to override your curses when it triggers. Bonehew(Shael/Amn) and Hone Sundan are both good choices.

Good luck, and be sure to let us know how you get on :)

I currently have a level 80 Summon Necro on HC Ladder East. Thanks for the info, now I know where to point points i've been saving so I can finish this game. Need to practice more with dim, and attract... Left side I never used. Thanks.

DV them..... not sure if its true but at least to me, them can't hit anything once i DV them. high lvl DV covers a large area, making it a life saving skill when encountering gloams...solo hell is a breeze.

also i prefer to invest heavily in vita, at least he can withstand 1-2 hit, just enough for me to drink a full rejuv and run away.:D
