anya BUG

i was in a norm anya game went to her, use tp, got potion from malah. buti couldn't speak to anya again so i thought it was lag and saved and exited. i make new game came back, still had potion and anya was back at pindle place but i didn't get the SCROLL OF RESISTANCE! the quest said i already completed. this is stupid didi just loose 10 res?

you get the scroll of resitance from Malah, you get an item from Anya. Try talking to Malah again.

i already did, the QUEST IS COMPLETED but i did not get the scroll. there is no ! on her head.

Try taking off all items with resists, and check your resists.

same thing happened to my friends radament quest... when he killed radament there was no book and the quest said it was completed. :scratch:

Are you still carrying the thawing potion? Try dropping it <i>then</i> talk to Malah.

ok this i believe is now a official bug or whatever. the first anya quest i did in nm it was fine. i went to do normal and tat's when the lagged kicked in and i made a new game and it said i completed the game. check previous posts. then i went and made a nm game again and all of the sudden the quest for anya said talk to anya. i went there no longer having the potion and talked to her. malah gave me the potion but when i tried to approach her again, she didn't thaw. malah didn't give me the scroll and quest stayed at "talk to anya" i tried joining someone's elses game to have him hlp me do it. it was a barb and we got there and he got the potion and he thawed anya but my quest still said "talk to anya".
this is pissing me off. i was trying to make my necro as good as possible but i can't now when it's missing +10 res!!!

i also have no idea what my previous res was b4 so there wouldn't be use for me to take off my items and check.

ok... u dont need to know what ur previous resistances are, just take off all ur items that add to resists. If they are all at 0 (in norm, -40 in nm, and -100 in hell) then u havent gotten the quest... if they are all at 10(-30 or -90) then u have gotten the resists. And if u already completed another anya it should be at 20 all resist if u gotten. :thumbsup:

This happened to me. When I reinstalled one of my accounts still worked, and i went on my sorc and her quest said talk to anya. but anya wasn't in town.
I really dunno where was suppose to be, because I hadn't played the chick in months, all I know is that that was screwed up

This thing almost happened to me -- I think. Anyway, I was in a baal run when a quest log popped up. Thinking it was time to move into the throne, I said "tp when clear". When someone told me to be patient, I checked my quest log and it said "talk to anya" Thinking that someone had completed the anya quest in-game, I talked to Malah. She didn't give a res. scroll, so I quickly left to avoid risking the loss of the +10 all res!

ok i took off all my items and i got 20 to resist so i did get the quest "THANK YOU" but anya is still frozen heeeh!

ok... u dont need to know what ur previous resistances are, just take off all ur items that add to resists. If they are all at 0 (in norm, -40 in nm, and -100 in hell) then u havent gotten the quest... if they are all at 10(-30 or -90) then u have gotten the resists. And if u already completed another anya it should be at 20 all resist if u gotten. :thumbsup:

I think it should be 10 -20 -70 ;-)

It happened to me with Radamant a few times; I suppose Anya works the same way: if you kill Radamant, but don't pickup the book, you will have the quest completed in the next game and no skill.

You can fix this by making a game that has the quest available, and kill him again. He'll drop a book and you can still pick it up.

I'd guess the same works for Anya; it seems those items are tracked independently of the quest status.
