Question about C.D. key and Diablo 2 on Mac OS X

This is my first post, so hello all. Anyway, my first question is whether or not it is possible to somehow retrieve a lost C.D. key code for Diablo 2 Lord of Destruction? I have LoD installed on an older iMac, but recently got a new computer. Unfortunately, I have lost my LoD case, which had the C.D. key code. I have the key code for Diablo 2 classic, but not the expansion. Is there any way to somehow get it off the other computer or anything, or must I buy a new game?

My second question is about Diablo 2 running on Mac OS X Panther (on a powerbook to be really specific). I installed Diablo 2 classic and was playing single player, and it seemed really choppy. All I can think is that it's not running so well because when Diablo 2 launches, the computer has to switch to Mac OS 9, because Diablo 2 is so old I guess. That, or becuase my Diablo 2 is v 1.0, but I don't remember it having problems on my old computer.

So if anyone knows how to fix these problems, or has had similar situations, your advice and assistance would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

First I dont know how to get cd key back... in future consider emaling yourself the cd key to your own yahoo address. Blizzard might be able to help you with that... but i think its unlikely. :(

Secondly, get the mac os x native installer patch. it installs it into os x, no need for 9 anymore. It works a lot better!

And unless you have a good video card, just try software mode.

There is a program to be able to get it off the pc, If someone could provide a link for him. I've had to do this a few times while reformating until I finally got wise and wrote my keys down. You could try googling it but you might download somethin nasty. There is a way to get the key though.

If you can get a direct connection, just move the entire folder over to your new computer.

Deceit, how does the direct connection work? I checked the blizzard website, and they can replace the game with a new C.D. key, but you have to send in either the case or manual, both of which I lack, and $10. I have the box and the players guide it came with though :rant:. I need to start writing down my keys, but I seldom play pc games, so I'm just not used to doing that. Oh well, thanks for the advice.

i also have a mac os x. mine is a 10.3.4 i also have the same choppy gameplay. i just finished my blizz sorc with the best gear and i am impressied with her its just i cant play with her. its just i cant tele worth **** with her. now can someone give me a link to this download i would very much appreciate it.
