Hello everyone. I am making my first windy using the guide in this forum. With this being the druid forum, I was wondering if I am going to have some big issues in hell untwinked? Am I going to have to MF with my sorc to get some uber gear for my dru before I enter hell, or will I be ok. Thank you in advance for your input.

well I am level 76 and I am semi-twinked. My gear is as follows:
Jalal's mane
Vipermagi
Trang gloves
Earthshaker
Moser's shield w/ 2 pdiamonds
+1 druid skills ammy
Right of Passage boots
+28% lighting resist belt
2 rings with moderate stats/resists
so whereas I have, what I consider to be a great druid set-up, it is nowhere near what all these uber druids seem to have.
I just started hell, and act 1 was tough since all those damn zombies are cold immune. But I got through it and I've been working on act 2 a bit. Again on Arcane there are a lot of cold immune and all the sorcs I seem to team up with are cold sorcs, so it's taking awhile.
I think I have about 1100 hurricane and 2200 tornado damage and my resists are like:
55
75
75
55
Please please please god not earthshaker.
Change to suicide branch/spectral shard/wizardspike before I kill myself.

I will personally give him a wizspike if he is on us west ladder.
You don't need uber gear to be effective. I would make sure you had a few decent pieces of gear though. Jalals and a shard/suicide/wizspike should be enough. These are pretty cheap now, at least on uswest.
If you are on nonladder, people give these away regularly.

I am on ladder. I think I can get my hands on a wizzy pretty easily, Jalals might be a bit harder.

You could get by with a peasant crown or lore runeword hat or even a nice rare druid helm. Jalals is just so great for its price it is hard to pass up but wiz definitely is a priority for the res/fc you will need. If you already have a mf sorc, try killing hell meph or andy. I've found at least 3 jalals off meph and 1 off andy. I think nm meph can drop it as well if you can't do hell meph(dolls are *******).
Stealth armor is good for lvl 17 req and cheap. Tal Eth for some pretty good mods in two socket armor. It helped me alot when ladder first started and my sorc used it up till around 70. 25fc, 25fhr, 25 frw are all great mods for such cheap armor.
Make sure you max out cyclone early and get bear or wolves and you should be fine. With near-immunity to elem dmg and a bear/wolves to tank, you will survive just about anything.
My best advice for hell without good gear is to be in partys alot. Even with no gear me and a few friends managed to get through all of hell in about an hour or two with no waypoints. Now that most everyone has a mf sorc already, there will be more effective partys. No more 8 sorc baal runs, or 8 sorcs trying pointlessly to kill hell council.
Good luck.

Nope I'd choose HotO over them (using on my Wind/Summoner druid.. This guy kicks *** in hell and he's untwinked also!)

Yeah, cuz everyone playing untwinked can find vex/ko/pul.
Of course HoTO would be the best option, but Wizzy is very, very nearly as good. I was simply giving him cheap and better solutions than Earthshaker.

nah I understand what you meant.. I'm just playing with you. :)
Wizzy IS a good option I agree.
Go with wizzy, Aphro, unless you stumble across a HotO
I made 35 hoto yesterday on ladder...
meph was kind enough to drop me a gul and hf gave me another one.
I've seen ctas and hotos in baal runs on ladder. People just get lucky(or they use a credit card). You never know when that high rune will drop. I found vex off the balrog minions in nightmare in the old ladder. Even lower lvl people can find good runes.
Even if you have a hoto, wiz may be a better option depending on your other gear. If you can make up res in charms/gear than use what gives you the most skills, but never give up res if you can help it. Cyclone armor won't stop everything(try tanking 3-5 souls in hell with it, see how long it lasts). Poison for one, goes right through cyclone. So if you have low poison res you WILL get killed by it in hell.

Yeah cyclone does NOT fare well against souls in hell... 2-3 lightnings that hit you and the cyclone armor is gone... but it doesn't matter to me that much since I have fire/cold/lightning/poison-res at 75 in hell and some lightning absorb (how much I don't remember) so this guys can take some beating, but if we're talking about 6-7 souls at you, I have only ONE suggestion for you: RUN LIKE HELL!!

I'd have to choose Wizard Spike over HoTO.

Why? The +3 skills kinda wins me over the huge mana and resist boost
