Hi, ive been playing d2 for 3months now, and ive really enjoyed this site. Although i don't have all these great things. I was wondering, Since lower resist counts for fire, cold, light, and psn, would it work on bone. Many people say yes, but im not sure, can someone clarify, or give me free engima. :lol:

Lower resist dont lower elemental...
If you are refering to if lower resist helps a bonemancer... i think that will be yes, as it can help your team's sorceress tremendously.

have none of you taken the time to actually LOOK at the lower resist skill in the GAME it clearly states that for MONSTERS lower resist INCREASES the amount of MAGIC damage taken. i suggest you guys THINK b4 you post utter rubbish. and to be so sure over something you are TOTALLY wrong about.... whats going on guys.. come on all you need to do is open your eyes... LOWER RESIST DOES INCREASE THE DAMAGE OF BONE ATTACKS!!!

Oh dear.
As has already been incredibly well documented in this forum, the description of lower resist in D2 is a hangover from the .09 patch, when LR actually did reduce enemies' resistance to magic damage. The 1.10 patch changed this so that it only reduces elemental damage resists, however the description was not changed.
Nice 1st post, btw. I look forward to reading many, many more of a similar calibre :cheesy:

As you're such a champion of reading, perhaps you could take the time to read my above post, which will explain how wrong you've got it. Better still, take the time to SEARCH THE FORUMS and you'll see that there are numerous other posts that will support what I say. Still content to be pig-ignorant - then build yourself a bonemancer and do some testing. At the very least it will keep you busy and stop you from posting such inane twaddle in these forums.
And a word of advice - don't join a forum and then immediately start posting rude and ill-informed posts. At least take some time to familiarise yourself with the forum before announcing your unparalleled stupidity to all and sundry. Bad enough being stupid, but being stupid, ignorant and rude? Gah!

could it be that Blizz made an error? A "bug" so to speak? Does it even occur to you that even the in-game screens can lie?
It has to us. To be sure of our case we have done some experiments. You will find that this is the way we do things around here. We wonder about something and then ask. If nobody knows the answer, or conflicting answers are given then we propose a test. We have done the test for this particular case and it has shown that the LR curse no longer lowers the magic resistance of enemies.
Now would you be so kind as to tell us of the numerous experiments you must have undoubtedly performed to be so certain of your case? If you can not, then would you please accept that we could actually be telling the truth?
This is most certainly not a good first impression.

Oh darn guys we are all failures at life because some ****ing moron comes and tells us we are wrong because bliz says so. Damn our actually testing this at the beginning of the patch, who needs that when there is a tooltip. Tooltips CAN'T BE WRONG. Go stick your head in a blender if you can't be more civil. And btw you are wrong too.

I think you're right, perhaps I did cave a bit easily - was rushing out of work and just hammered a reply in quickly.
Agreed, whether his view was right or wrong, he had no right whatsoever to start blazing at folk who have different info from his own. I'm hoping he takes this as a lesson learned, but only future posts will prove that. Either way, I'm a sucker for an apology - you don't hear many of them on the forums. So I reckon the guy deserves a second chance - just so long as he doesn't start shooting his mouth off.
