For synergy use, always max bone wall before thinking about bone prison, just in case you stumble over a couple marrowwalks and want to use the bug. Besides that, I don't see why it shouldn't work if you have some +skill eq.

Well, first of all: any build that maxes SM and RS does work, simply because your skellies are a major killing force. "2+" in Summon Resist is a waste of valuable skillpoints; let +skills take care of that.

Other than that, your bonespells are even weaker than those of a bonemancer (they lack the 40 synergy points you put into summoning), but they can wear monsters down. You don't have CE, so you will be a lot slower than a proper build.

You can improve the bonespells by abusing the marrowwalks bug, should you choose that lame route.

If you're going untwinked then there's no sense in making a summoner/bone hybrid. Once you start working on your bone skills you're well into NM and by then your bone skills will not be doing enough damage. Once you hit Hell, anything less then a full bonemance or a marrowwalk summoner will not do any real damage.

That's a nice build. Isn't it a bit like the build by Angst? Looks like it.

The skeletons are very good this way with maxed SM, and you have some damage of your own. If you want to use CE you need a lot of +skills however.

If you want the skeletons to be more of a walking wall you could skip the SM and put more points in synergies of Bone spirit. 20 points in skeletons and 1 in SM is still enough to keep them alive most of the time, but you will need more mana then, for spamming BS and sometimes recasting skeletons.

I'm a big fan of just one point in clay, that's really enough. Don't put more than one point in summon resist, to much diminishing returns and it's not needed. Skeletons don't die much and they're cheap anyway.

Maybe the weak point of this build is the maxed SM, it could be a bit wasted since it doesn't add much.

On a sidenote, if you're playing untwinked and you want to be able to kill in hell you can use this great build:

20 raise skeletons
1+ skeleton mastery
1 clay
1 golem mastery
1 summon resist

20 poison dagger
15+ poison expl
20 poison nova

1 in all curses, you could skip the left part.

The skeletons are not great killers, but your poison is. You need a good act2 mercenary for physical damage, either defiance, holy freeze or might.

I played this one at the first ladder season (with my first char) and I could just go anywhere in hell. Not very fast but very safe.

Hell pindle got me some nice items then. Most sorcs didn't stand a chance there :)

hybrid's can be very effective killers. IMHO, the summon / poison hybrid is the best build of all classes I've ever played. It's fun, and extremely effective in all parts of hell.

the bone / summon is a great build too, but it suffers from the same problem as the poison / summon. That is it's tough to do 100% untwinked. You will need +skill gear, which may be hard to find.
