View Full Version : Clan 4v4 Duels, Best Combo

My clan has

Trapper x4
Mage x1
Bone Mancer x3
Fire Ball Sorc x2
WW Barb x2
WW Sin x1
Zealot x2
Charger/Smiter x1
Blizzard Sorc x2
Wind Druid x1
Bone/Summon Hybrid x1
Bowzon x1

Out of those what combo would devestate Clan Duels, because one thing is most of my clan are 1v1'rs usually. We tried team dueling, it seems to be our combo picks usually dont work.

We go

FireBall Sorc or Trapper or Blizzard (2/3) - stays near mage for conviction incase enemys when on defensive other wise offensive
Necro or Summoner Hybrid - Attacks always solo - thinking of now allowing necro due to its mainly a 1v1 dueler, dont see much use in Clan Duels unless summoner
Mage - Our Defensive Player, spam hammer in case close ranged attacks, FOH on longer ranged

i'd wanna try

Mage
Trapper
Blizzard Sorc
1. Tank Barb - For BO... or 2. WWsin, very good Caster killer

I read all of them i decided to go with

1. Lightning Trapper - Stunner, Defensive Player with high element damage
2. Barbarian WW - High Level BO, Tele WW Offensive
3. Necro w/ Marrow Bug - Amp or Decrip, then offensive after
4. Blizzard Sorc or Fire Ball or Another Trapper, havent really decided - Must be an all offensive player

just include garbad in your team and let him bribe the other team into throwing the match.

Btw Joe, my barb is finally almost done. I picked up a 1376 def engima finally. All I need to do is baal to 94 :/

and unban me from CH u bish it was the guy i share accounts with that got me banned.

your clan discriminates against hammerdins! :lol:

generally speaking from a list like that you can pick two random teams of 4 and 3/4 of the time player skill not builds will decide who wins.

that said, from that list unless you severly limit absorb 2x necro 2x barb has the most potential.

actually mage + trapper works quite well massive elemtnal damage if you add in blizz or fb sorc + convction that's 1 hit ko. if they wanna stack res and absorb they have to sacrafice a lot.

it's not that hard to stack 2 in NM. yes you give up a lot but it's worth it if you have the advantage.

conviction has such a crappy range, too. it's very hard to convict someone in tele duels without taking damage yourself (assuming necs bonewall to stop desynch vigor-charge).

but it keeps enemies away making short range classes useless. in combation with 16k traps. well you can use bs and ga and such to long range snipe them. or just use a marrow bug nec with maxed lower res should work well too.

ive found a team of:
*offensive* lite trapper (as in attacks not hides behind traps--this will allow u to beat other casters easier rather than tging and finishing off non-castes which ur teammates can do instead)
bowazon
liberator
meleepally or ww barb
to work quite well.

bowazon+trapper can pretty much take most necros (trapper stun+traps with ga's from zon)
ww barb/pally iwth a liberator can take most melee out
all can fair well vs casters like sorcs and even hammerdins with barbs/pallys if u have superior skill/equip.

as a duo team dueler i can usually clear an entire pubby or clan duel game with just a bowazon with a trapper, sometimes with a liberator.

with 16k traps.

um, explain to me how you can get 16k Traps? that is WAY over what I thought was possible w/o insane gear sacrifices. [even then, wtf?]

Well heres what I think would be good

WW Barb for BO and BC
Hammerdin with charge to stun for others and to use for own hammer attacks, can revert to defense if needed. (can be replaced by a charge smiter)
Fireball sorc that blasts stunned enemies
Bone Necro to attack far enemies with Bone spirit and stunned enemies with bone spear.

my team will be the one doing the sniping :lol:

tele barbs with wisps/t-god should have no problem taking out trapper/mage (unless the mage is mostly hammer which isn't the case here). as i said it just depends on absorb rules.
