tals vs unique?

What is better for mf? tals or uniques? last season i had uniques and about 530 mf, curious which is superior? i know uniques is better for killing power, but i want pure mf. thanks

Tal belt
2x nagel
War trav
Chancies
Lidless

Gull dagger on switch
Rhyme on switch
(or 4 socket ist shield, but not necessary)

Socket P topezs and you're set.
This comination keeps you strong and high fast cast.

But that would give you 40 fire, 40 cold, and 73 lightning. That wouldn't max your resists in Normal diff. In hell, you'd be massively negative on all resists, with poison at maximum negative.

do all the res quests and you should have max fire/light/cold res no prob

I don't like switching for kills, so I use:

Occy (need to ist it)
Ptopaz Tal armor
Ptopaz Shako
Tal ammy
15% tal belt
magefist
war travs (39%, meh)
isted SS
30% nagel
soj

This nets over 400% MF, and at this point the diminishing returns don't really justify using chancee guards or another nagel IMO.

Also, with my 12/20/9 anni I have max cold and lightning (or maybe its 73 lightning) resists in hell. My fire resist is around 17, and my poison res is negative 25 or so.

I use that combo except:
SOJ/Rare ring with fast cast and resists
Rare boots with mf and 39 fire resist

and my resists are around 60 in hell except for poison, which is -7 :( and I have 487 Mf.

You only get the Tals set MF bonuses with 3 items on, and the armor and belt give MF, so, here's the best set-up

Shako Ptopaz
Tals Armor Ptopaz
Tals Belt
Tals Ammy
HOTO, Eschuta's Temper or Deaths' Fathom (Depending on your element)
Lidless
War Travs
Chancies
2x Nagels

On weapon switch..

2x Ist Ali Baba or Gull, whichever you can afford
4x ist shield, or Rhyme if you can't afford.

Switch your weapons for the last hit.

This setup will give you great killin' speed, and lots of MF.

If you are botting however, it wont work ( I do not support botting )

I don't know where you're getting all these negative stats that you think i have :P but here's what I use

Occy - 20%
Tal set (partial) - 40% (0 poison)
lightning's higher from tal ammy - 33%
Um in lidless cause you switch to rhyme on kill - 22%
Anni Charm - 18%
3 small charms that give 5% resist all and have some mfind on it - 15%
3 anya quests - 30%

Anyways, that adds up to around 40 resists and poison's around 10 for me. (when has poison bothered anyone - cept hell baal run psn)
With my charms and the set posted I finish around 750+ mfind. A bit extreme
but i don't lose all that much strength with this combination.

i had a VERY simlar setup (to shock's) in Ladder season 1 except used ryhme instead of Lidless (for the resists & mf b/c i dont like switching either)

i had 783 mf with 75/75/75/40

( if you want 75% poison just get some charms to make up for it)

you'll get more mf with a barb than a sorc, dual isted ali babas.

but you damage & def are going to suck with a barb, but a sorc doesnt depend on items like a barb does, items only AID her to get stronger
