curious how to improve my blizz sorcy. I made her to do hell meph/pindle/andy
Right now she looks like this

I run nm meph/andy and havent really found anything great. Now i would like to know where to put the stat points and any really cheap alternatives i could go with for gear? thanks

Insted of andy nm try meph nm using moat trick since he can drop much better stuff than andy (andy nm is good only for soj hunting). Concerning stats allocation you seem you will go max vita instead of max block. Dont put any more points in energy, put str according to your needs to wear your equip and rest in vita. Your equipment looks decent for mfing nightmare, so just like I said try meph nm runs for mf and hopefully you will eventually get better gear to proceed to hell. I wish you luck :)

what would you consider gear appropriate for moving to hell if you dont mind me asking?

tarnhelm and tals orb are fine. goldskin needs replacement with a better mage-suited armor like vipermagi or que-hagans. Viscerautant is fine as well. Inferno stride and bloodfist obviously not the best choice so you need to get something better there like chance guards/frostburn/magefist and waterwalk etc. All these items are not expensive and you could trade em easily or find them from meph nm. Just a side note: you could use sigons shield + sigons boots + sigons belt. Pretty decent with +1 stats, fire and cold res and 50 mf added.

Staves are pretty much completely useless for a sorc cause of the absolute need for a shield...whether it be for P diamond sockets, high block % or +skills.I would reccomend the lidless if your dex is low. Faster cast rate is really decent for a sorc, along with +skills and few other things really help you. Occulus is nice if you don't complete the tal set. High mfind, fast cast and + 3 skills.

I'd say staves are mostly useless - not completely, at least for casters. If you have a great staff, and aren't going to max block, its practically the same thing as having a shield and orb - if you can get the right staff. Good example would be Chromatic Ire. Has huge boost to life, resist all, fast cast, +3 sorc skills and +1 to each mastery - not half bad if you ask me.

On a mostly unrelated note, I put an upped ribcracker on my TITAN sorc, got her actual physical damage in the 1.5K avg. per hit range. Great weapon.
