I finnally got full trang on my ladder necro after searching vigorously. He is a bone necro (most of u may know why im sad) and he was awesome b4 i had full set on... after i had set i noticed his stats went up yadda yadda, i thought he would be even more godly with full trangs and suicide branch. But to my dismay when i did a baalrun after i noticed that he was shooting ALOT slower in the vampire phase. I couldn't believe that vampire phase made u cast at slowest speed possible. WHY DID THIS HAVE TO HAPPEN TO ME?
If there is any way blizz thinks this an error i hope they fix it soon.
They won't fix it anytime soon. Full Trangs is only really good for a Summoner or Venomancer and the Hybrid... use it on them. As a short term fix, how about using the partial set by say replacing the Trang helm with a Shako. That would keep most of the useful bonuses and only lose 1 skill point, IIRC and you'll shoot at normal speed at least.
Yeah, I imagine Vampire would be best for someone who actually wants to be a vampire (even get 20% life leech!)...pity about not completing the set is you lose out on +3 Necro skills and +3 Fire Mastery (would that work on CE? I mean, it's a set dmg, but would it boost it still?)...you also lose the mana and m. regen (100 and 50%)
Maybe just use the full set, but switch to being a Fire Necro...use the fireball and meteor and such...
and Blizz does know about the speed...on Arreat Summit: "Note: wearing this set will increase casting delay resulting in slower casting (even with fast cast items). This is a bug and has been reported."
lol I doubt CE and fire mastery actually have anything to do with eachother. I guess I go ask mad mantis for this one. he likes those things :)

WOOT!!!
I found a cure for the slow cast problem...
Whenever u switch acts u go back to being necro for a period of time... although it changes if u switch ur gear or die, whenever i wanna duel i can switch acts and go out and duel with full trang set bonuses and fast cast, i think he stays necro form until u switch gear or use some skill(not tested fully yet)... as for to kill monsters, ill try seeing if going thru tp changes u too
A CURE FOR TRANG BONE NECROS IS FOUND :winner:  :thanks:

ok i did some more testing... and i found out that he can obtain his necro form for an interval of around 30 seconds... enough for a duel, but sometimes after switching acts he will randomly switch to trang after about 5 seconds. he will probably switch to trang after 5 seconds 1 out of 4-5 tries, but all u have to do is go back and switch acts again. He can go thru tps and maintain is necro form as long as its under 30 seconds.
As for fighting monsters he isnt able to maintain his shape for long so it wont be effective.
Hope this information can be of use to others with my problem

I'd actually challenge a bit of the above post. I've worn full trang's on my nl summoner since i was old enough to, and have used the wp switching in nearly every mf run i do. I agree with most of the statement, but the only discrepance I saw was this: "i think he stays necro form until u switch gear or use some skill(not tested fully yet)... ". I realize that you said you hadn't tested it yet, so don't take this as me reprimanding you.
Finally, to the point, when I start a mf run, I begin in act 3, wp to act 5 (switching back to normal form), go for a pindle run, where I resurect corpses, and then end up switching back to vampire after i weapon switch to tele. So, casting doesn't trigger the change, but weapon switch or removing one of the set items and replacing it does. I've also stayed in normal necro form for several minutes, as long as I didn't try to tele. So I'm not positive if there's some sort of timer on it or not.
Hopefully I didn't confuse things too much.

Either way, imo it's too erratic to be trusted for any sort of use in pvp or other. That, plus you lose the lovely increased speed that being a vamp gives you :(
