lvl 40 pvp druid: what would work?

hi, me and a couple of mates are going for some low level duelling. level 40 only, so no skillers and class specifics. I picked druid, knowing that (like always) they are the underdog in duels :grrr:

problem is, I have trouble looking for a build!

feral leech is nerfed, fireclaw has crappy damage. all the elemental kinds are too vurnerable due to bad fhr(and not high life/dmg)

I see a few possible builds left, a pure fury and a pure rabies druid,a mauler and maybe a summoner if they work -.-


can anyone give me suggestions for build? also I'd like to know what skills/weapon you'd use. unless I'm mistaken, it will be a custom one :'(

rabies druid and mauler looked like they'd be best(max lifers), but I'd like to have the expert view on this :)

i read some guide on this site and i used it to make a wind druid(hurricane,tornado,etc.) and i use full sigons w/ bloodrise morning star. morning star isn't the best weapon but thats what the guide said.

hmm wut r u talking about?? my fc druid had like 1.5k dmg at lvl 40... yea that's real low allrite

1.9k phys zeal damage with a lvl 50. 1.5k fire damage isn't too much, sorry to say. fire sorcs at lvl 40 can do almost 4-5k. built right of course....

10 lvls up... at lvl 50 rite now i do 3.2k dmg, owns melee duels

I have tryed a level 39 mauler and they are tough have lots of life and nice damage.

I use a ribcracker, nice and fast and lots of good mods. Also use ginther's dimensional sword with a shield, either whitstans or moser's depending whether max block is required or resists. Ginther's until I find a faster one handed low level item.

On the switch prebuff with sigons shield or lidless (lvl 41) and either fleshrender or dark clan crusher or other items with plus skills.

Maul max
Oak - 1 point or more
HoW - 1 point or more
Lycanthropy - 1 point or more
Shockwave - 1 point or more

Stats
Enough dex with items to reach 75% block with whitstan's shield at your character level
str - Enough strength for items (decide on equipment and then determine minimum)
Mana - none
Vit - as much as possible

Equipment
Helm - Rockstopper or Peasant Crown or Darksight Helm (for cannot be frozen)
Armor - shaftstop(dr) or vipermagi (resists)
Shield - whitstan's (block) or moser's (resists)
Belt - sting or ears (dr) or other of your choice
rings - angelic + ammy or two soj
ammy angelic or nokozan, The Eye of Etlich or The Mahim-Oak Curio
boots - Waterwalk
gloves - Bloodfist
