How is it possible to use a "lower resist" wand on a Sorceress

I have seen multiple comments on this forum that a lower resist wand can be used to deal with the cold/fire immune monsters if you are a pure cold or fire sorc. But I thought that the "lower resist" curse is for necromancers only! Am I missing something here?

You can buy a wand with charges of lower resist.

Also the lower resist charges only allow you to break the immunities of a few monsters.

It has not to be necessary a wand, i've seen yellow staves with low resist charges. Don't let any UNID yellow staff on the ground.

Knife class items can also carry lower resist charges.

I have Life Tap on a yellow hand axe. Does it mean that it possible to find other necro curses on hand axes as well?

No, Life tap is the only curse with charges that can be found on an axe.

Charges on items can be used by all character classes.
The lvl of LR on those wands is rather low, so you will hardly be able to break immunities with that, BUT you can lower the resistances even a bit more that way, making it easier to kill high resistent boss monsters :thumbsup:

Highest level i've seen on a wand is level 2 lower resist.

Monster who are immune to 2 elemental, will have 1 of them removed after you use a level 2 LR wand on them.

Let me rephrase that.... Life tap is the only curse that can spawn on a NON unique axe.
