isn't lifetap funny?

i play mostly in pubby games on uswest ladder, and i've seen a trend lately and i wonder if i'm the only one that's noticed.

i'll be going around with my necro, whether he summons or not, and cast all kinds of curses to help my party. but i'm starting to loathe when another necro is in the game, because no matter what i cast he'll immediately override it with LIFE TAP.

even when it's a party full of casters (including my boner) and i'm DVing the gloams, he casts life tap on them. even when we're both summoners, and i'll ask him not to override amp damage so we can all kill faster, he'll cast lifetap and call me a newb and tell me to check d2.net to see why lifetap is the 1.10 uberskill.

am i crazy for casting amp damage with my might merc's aura stacking on my summons while CEing and resummoning IF one of my skellies dies (which is hardly ever)? i don't think so. are other necros crazy for suddenly using all lifetap all the time?

Thank god it is LT. There used to be a time when they would use IM or Weaken. I guess people are learning.

Just continue your normal curse behaviour. It sounds like you are doping a good job. They will catch on someday.

yes, lifetap is certainly better than the other stupid skills they overwrote with before, but what these ****nuts fail to realize is that lifetap is a situational skill, it is not the 1.10 uberskill, it has ALWAYS been the uberskill, but that doesn't mean you use it all the time, I hate bad necros

sorta learning, until we get roasted in Hell WSK by gloams that were once hit with DV (since we were all casters of some sort except for the LF javazon) and then were hit with LT...OW. :P

good thing it's not hardcore...then again, if it were HC i would never find my way into a party :\

Someday the ignorant masses will discover the entire tree of Necromancer curses. When that happens it will be bliss. Until that time we will just have to stack absorb or play Private.

I can run, anyone can run, well, anyone can teleport, but the ability to teleport is merely a convenience and something one can easily get on without, how it could be considered an uber skill when it is so easily replaced is beyond me
