This came up in one of my other posts, but it is a good question. Is there a consensus on a good merc for a wind druid? I had thought act2 holy freeze, but the point was brought up that it really doesn't help with cold immunes at all and it was suggested that I get a fire arrow act1 merc. I don't see a lot of people using the act1 merc and I am intrigued. I might try to level her up and see what she can do.
Should I just get a hell level one? or is there an end game advantage to using an act1 merc from an earlier difficulty? I can take the time to level her up if necessary.
what do people think about the merc situation for the wind druid? lemme know.

I was bow shopping on arreats and was wondering what would be a good bow for this new friend of mine...
Witchwild (with 2 Amn's would be nice)
Goldstrike (replentish life)
Riphook (life steal)
these look like the good choices. any thoughts?

well, part of this depends on what the use of ur druid is, pvm or pvp. If pvp it might be easier to tele on to ppl if u have an enigma with a HF merc, however a fire arrow or defience merc might be better if u are pvm.

I'm thinking in the same lines. A Fire Merc woud just be soo complementary. Anybody outthere knows the answer of the question: Is there a endgame difference between the mercs from normal and hell difficulty? Would be really helpful to get this sorted out.
Thanks

I'm certainly no expert, but I use my windy to MF and have great luck with an act one merc with a witch wild/howltusk set up.
She only seems to die when I do, kills a surprising amount of monsters, and does a nice job of breaking the phys immunes down with the amp from her bow.
