Since I've started a Fishymancer and have been visiting this forum to read the posts on a regular basis, I've seen it posted many times that people are having a hard time killing in hell. I've looked at the builds, the way the skills are used on SM and RM and of course to see if they are using a might merc. Most of the time they are and they're still concerned about the lack of killing power. I'm curious because this is the third Fishy I've build one in regular play and one in each ladder and I've never experiened a problem. I was doing the pit at L65 with SM23 and RM23. Are there hidden stats maybe, something that affects the Fishy or any Nerco making them different from each other?

I don't know what's going on with those reports either. One of my necros uses the 1.09 version of PoisonTrooper's Overlord Guide and his killing speed is only a little bit under par. I can't see how one could follow a guide made for 1.10 and wind up with low killing speed.

I concur. The skellimancer is ridiculously fast / easy through hell mode. Act2 / Act4 can be a real pain in the arse, but other then that, you are going to be golden. It's all about proper cursing, knowing how to 'direct' your army to their goal, and a touch of patience.
good luck.

It all depends on what the writer of the posts means with fast. If you are used to a fully twinked Hammerdin with uber equip, then an untwinked Skelliemancer can appear to be somewhat slow.

true. skellimancer is a cookie cutter nec for PvM. when necro noobs see the most common build they think its another hammerdin.

I imagine that is exactly it, they are expecting everything on the screen to be dead in about 15 seconds. It just doesn't work like that.

I currently spend all my time mfing in hell, and my mightmerc combined with an army of revives and skeletons have no trouble killing and surviving
My merc doesn't even do that much damage
It's easy, not to mention in combination with Corpse Explosion
