Having thought it over I've decided to no longer plan my time around people who just don't show up and can't be bothered to post that they can't or won't be there. I am tired of trying to rally people to finish this thing.

Thanks to Undead for rebuilding and showing up last night, you are definitely the funniest person I ever played with....bar none. Prophet good luck with your studies and peace to you. Jeremy I hope your recovery from your surgery goes well.

Ciao

How's Asia?

Asia's is OK. A bit low on players right now. Don and Destiny are running in NM and hell. Destiny and Flash helped me get my zon well into NM but her equipment just stinks so I am poking around norm some more to get some res (though she kills like crazy...0 lit res is no way to play in NM as she would only be a misfire from death). Hopefully I will be able to join em sooner than later.

Was thinking of going to East for a while but my son wants to try hardcore (for 1st time) in asia with me so I'll probably start a new character with him and see if I can keep us both alive. Should be some fun.

Xey: missed your chance to apologize.

I take almost everything lightly. Not to be preachy or suggest I am perfect blah blah blah ....

but I really do not like racist or sexist jokes and pedophilia, even in jest, is just intolerable in my books. I'm sure any parent would agree.

Ugh. I am truly sorry to have been such a flake of late. May life and D2 treat you at least half-decently.

Sense of humor aint got nothing to do with it. Some things you just dont play around with, especially pedophilia. If you really knew somebody that had to go through something like that and how debilitating it can be, you wouldn't take it so lightly.

Getting your girlfriend fixed is a great idea, one less you will be running round.

I think of that like this: My older sister died about 10 years ago of sever anerexia, wich was vary sad. However, I still joke today about models and being anerexic and belemic, ect. Why? After my horrible ordeal and loss? Its situational comedy..

If I were making pedophile jokes at a day-care center then I would certainly be in the wrong. However, a refrence to "mansecks" wich is nothing more than a funny internet one-liner on this forum is no reason to act defensive of one's child. This is just IMO. I am not a parent yet (and don't plan on it any time soon, at age 23 I am just about as busy as possible without another life to take care of) so I can't vouch for these "instincs."

Meh.

Sorry about your sister. Must have been rough, probably still is.

People deal with losses in very different ways. Sometimes people make jokes about things they are in denial about and have not accepted. I don't know if that is your case or not. I don't think I could joke about those things if I were in your position but I haven't been.

Anyway I am not trying to be judgemental so please don't take it that way.

Just so its clear, I had no problem with Xey's suggestion of "mansecks", an offer to shave my back or take an ice cream bath with me would be as welcome and responded to in kind. I only took offence at dragging in my son or a reference to any child in that context...its just not funny at any time. That kind of garbage just cannot be tolerated IMHO whether as a one liner designed to get a response in a forum like this or anywhere. So I will act defensively or offensively as needed any time that happens.

I kinda agree in the sense, that there's some things you just don't joke about, ever. Some people may find them humorous, some may find them offensive. Its really all dependant on the person. I personally don't find it funny either, but I'm not really offended by it, but I'm not a parent. I'm sure that most parents wouldn't find it funny, either. I'm sorry about your sister Orpheus, and I'm glad that you've gotten to the point that you can joke about it. Most people, however, cannot joke or laugh about things that have affected their lives so much. Oh well, enough rantage.

Maby that is a way I have of coping with bad things.. I can't tell for certain. All I know is, that around most folks anything is game for joke with me around. I just don't get offended by jokes that may hit close to home, I really wish more people were like this as it would alleveiate many an unnecessary flame or angry response. Meh, I guess I am just a strange person.

My favorite internet one liner is "can I shave your head and paint it like an easter egg?"

OMG you are right that does sound freakish....

the ice cream would be melted and vanilla only ...with a few marachino cherries for nibblin...back shaving would occur BEFORE and not in the ice cream bath....

there now that's better...thanks for pointing that out Cy

This reminds me of the pot calling the kettle black!

I definetly dont find the child sex thing very tastefull either but i find many things said online are pretty poorly choosen.

I suppose a joke like that one in an eye to eye situation is much more acceptable than it is in text when we all know there are many sickos on the Inet working on our children daily.
