Hybrid GA/LF zon does wonders with a windy. I know from experience.

Slap a Delerium on your strafe or multi zon, and WF or any reasonably fast bow should make for fun times. You won't be the fastest killer, but you'll stay out of harms way while your victims go at each other.

Read the guide about pit-strafezons http://www.rpgforums.net/showthread.php?t=175957. Made one in late first season.... I wish I had a wf  I'd remake her in a heartbeat

Well, you take a risk. If you make a strafe/java hybrid you should pick your moments for strafe.

I had a base vitality strafer with WWS bow last season. I soloed her to level 91. So I don't know what you mean by "no good". I never even had a close call with her.

Optimal Equip would be Titans / Gaze / etc...

Skills

Jav - Max LF / CS

Bow - Some strafe

Dodge / Avoid / Evade - you want to try 2 get @ least 50% on all three...

u also want a good Valk... @ least lvl 10

Base vitality--yikes! That would be scary. :cheesy:

Lots and Lots of 20 vita charms on that zon? Holy cow my 99 .09 Bowazon can't even take a hit and she has lots of life.

Reminds me of the "glass canon" builds back in Classic...can still work, if you have KB and good valk/decoy/merc skills...but low margin of error there...

AAAARGGHHHHHHHHH, Crelusion...Blasphemy!!!!!

Strafers rock...my highest character on last ladder was a Strafer (lv 85)..casulal play.

After finding a Twitch/Riphook yesterday...its good bye sorc, hello new Strafer. I just love those girls.

WF Strafer are okay, some prefer them over WWS Strafers. It's just hard to get 120 IAS, but many are comfortable with just 90.

Well I must say that I only did pit runs where there are few elemental enemies just watch out for archers. My resist where terrible but just probe with strafe have a good merc and high valk. I never had a close call either, just use your decoy well.

edit: oh get laying of hands they work wonders in the pit.

I wonder how many people made their way with a strafe zon trough nm and/or hell without maphack ...

Its nice to solo the pit all the time. But the first time you meet some gloams in a4 (yes there are gloams in a4) or a5 you are toast ... or respect for your reflexes ...

Here's one :)

I am not saying I would do Baal runs with my WWS Strafer, but after so many TPPKs and other cheap players were around, I actually had to solo a lot in NM and Hell. With a WWS I had maxed resists in hell, but I am aware that a bad combination of Conviction Gloams, or Extra fast, Fana Moon Lords is capable of tearing me apart in a blink. Well...they are capable of killing anybody, aren't they? That's why we have the "Our fallen friends"thread.

On the other hand I never felt comfortabel teleing around with my sorc in WSK even after a frķend gave me a SS and I used Tgods, full block, 105 FCR etc etc... Guess it often boils down to what you are most comfortable playing..and that's bowazons for me

A properly played bowazon who uses freezing arrow, lots of cold charms/items, strafe or multi, decoy, valk, slow missles, etc well can get by with low vitality. She won't be incredibly fast, but she won't be horribly slow either.

On the other hand, why take the risk that a moment of lag, or a teleporting boss won't kick your butt? I'd never go with base vit just for that reason (although long ago in softcore classic I did have a base-vit zon and rarely died).
