Hey guys, I kinda got hurt while lifting so I’m not really into writing this right now, so I’m sorry if it sounds rushed. Hopefully when Valor returns he’ll take over these little write-ups.
Wow, what a zany night of playing last night, as battle.net decided to attempt to thwart us at every turn. With Valor on vaca, and Reformed and Eludes_knight no showing, the start of 2.0 resembled 1.0 as our team quickly went from the Elite Eight to the Fabulous five. Weed brought in a friend (from team Kosher?) who stepped in with a much-needed avenger. Everything went more or less as expected, with us making steady progress, but being slightly slower then 1.0 as we’re all casters waiting on our main attacks to become available.
Everything went fairly smoothly until we entered the Cave where the first words spoken were “watch for coldcrow”. Three seconds later, four of our lives were in the red, as we turned a corner and ran smack into her pack perched at the top of a staircase. We regrouped and never really saw any further close calls the rest of the night.
Tristram was an adventure, as in our haste to free Griswold’s tormented soul, we kinda forgot to free Cain. In the countess’s tower, our race to be the first sorc to claim stealth was mocked as Countess saw fit to drop us an el. Shortly after, as we we’re traveling through the Black Marsh, we hit lvl 12 gaining lighting and fireball. Battle.net fearing our newfound abilities, decided to drop us all from the game and roll us back about a lvl. Five minutes later we all we’re able to get back in game and resume where we left off.
The rest of the night was steady progress, though around the inner cluster wp we all began to get pings around 4000 again and it continued to the point were we were unable to continue. We called it a night deciding we could make up for it on Wed. We ended up around lvl.15-16 around the inner Cluster WP.
All in all a mildly frustrating first night of play, but due to battle.net and not the team. Progress was slightly slower then 1.0 but that was expected and we should be making up for it soon. By Thursday we’ll be getting Blizzard, Meteor, and chain Lighting which should multiply our killing speed by about 8. Then on Monday we’ll be adding Valor and hopefully we’ll hear from Reformed? Looking forward to Wed.
Quote of the night: “The power of our team crashed battle.net.”
