1.10 back to 1.09 [Archive] - Diablo 3 & Diablo 2 Forums

Hey I want to take my files back to 1.09. Tried to just re-install everything from the beginning, but they will not show up again untill I have re-installed the 1.10 patch. Any ideas on how I can do this?

I don't think you can take existing characters back in versions, only forward.

assuming you're referring to SP, you may try fileplanet.com. they may have a .09 patch which you could install after you reinstall the entire game. however if you go on open, you must go to .10. but as previously stated (and pretty obvious) to play on bnet, you need to have .10.

btw, from blizzard´s own ftp server you can get any patch released for D2 or D2 LOD :idea: (access with anonymous user is available)

If you wish to be able to switch between 1.09 and 1.10 there are scripts available to do so.
You have to install Diablo, install patch 1.09, run a bat file, install patch 1.10, run another bat file.
After doing this you can switch by running a batfile:
Setup109.bat or setup1.10.bat these simply copy all necessary dll's and mpq files.

The files are available on d2haven.net which is predominantly a site dedicated to modding.
