I see that a lot of people have a problem with others using abosrb to me abosrb should only be used against chars like sorcs like this

fair dueling chars: since they duel fair 1 abosrb item and maxium resist

unfair dueling chars: ( nk, tg or w/e ) full abosrb and maxium resist

if u lose against a char: no thier not hacked or bugger just trying or try different setup and ask if it ok to use more abosrb

people who uses bugged or hacked items: thats just even fair to u so use absorb

people who use abosrb cuz they suck and don't wanna lose 1 duel cuz they take this game too serious: get a nerco , barb , zon , pally or w/e a char that can't be abosrbed and see how skilled they are when they can't be abosrb.

thats most people do in duels is use full abosrb against a fair char and piss off alot of people on bnet and in here

As far as I know bugged/hacked gear doesn't exist on Ladder so I don't have to worry about that.

As for absorb, my thoughts on it change often. As of right now I'm of the mindset that if they can be easily negated that's their problem for being a single element build. I love to see pure FoHers cry when I slap on my 4 ptopaz shield and beat them down with my own FoH. Then they slap on absorb and I smite them. :) Being a versatile dueler and planning on people using the most BM gear possible is practically a requisite for dueling in pubbies these days.

Unless of course you're one of those people that just run to town when you hit 50% health then proceed to talk trash from town.

And two...why did you have to spell "absorb" as "abOSRB" the whole way through? It's obviously absorb, and I thought the first was a spelling error but you used it the whole way through..

When foh pallys think their the **** and kill me when I get body back I say ok now I'm for real I get out my 4 topaz shield and just smite and charge them down. I also do this to people who sit thier and fully abosrb some trapsin or another char for doing nothing I Just run in town and hostial them and smite them down

I can also fully abosrb blizzard sorcs now but only to the ones who nk and tg it's funny when they do town guard I just come out and still kill them

Oh man, this was great. Some guy loaded up all this stacked res and absorb to negate this guy's FO (overkill if you ask me) after getting killed twice in fair duels but the guy was a meteor/orb sorc and killed him in about 5 seconds via fball afterwards. :lol:

Any absorb is fair, I mean people say that if they don't do enough damage to hurt you then you're absorbing to much. Well what if I go make a fire sorc that does 2k damage with fireball and ***** when it bearly hurts you demanding that you lower your resist more. Nothing is more irritating then using tgods (for str and dex) and hearing god damn trappers *****, ahh you don't 1 hit ko me eek your life is over! Sorry I would take it off but then I can't use half my god dam gear get over it. K I'm done, listen to phyrex don't make a ***** 1 element char most of all something like a pally or assassin that can easily be melee and something else.

everything is fair in public dueling imo.. Beside whast the fun of dying in 1-2 hits from a spell.. 15k trappers they deserve to get absorbed.

Beside what is totaly crap in public is a trapper starts to call ya noob when u dont mindlesly tele in to there trap and die. They start calling me chicken oO and noob Oo woot so im noob cos im not teleporting in urs traps but spam spels from a safe distance ?

If you plan to duel in pubbies, the age old rule of "plan for the worst, hope for the best" applies. Why do I use a bone necro? Because it cannot be negated. The worst thing you can do is use slow missiles and I'm getting better at dueling even under its effects. You cannot go into pubbies with a single element character that can simply be negated because in pubbies, someone will sooner or later.

Also, the "top" dueling chars (Necro, Windy, Hammerdin, WW barb) may be well and good, but I've seen other characters go toe to toe with them using other builds, even in pubbies. Why? Because they are versatile. Examples:

Trapper: Most trappers are pure LS with a little into Fireblast. This leads to easy absorbtion, and most can't aim FB for crap. However, anyone that has dueled Aschuta or Aveline (now just Ave I think) on East know that a strong emphasis on FB can lead to an insanely powerful and versatile build. I know Aschuta plays entirely with FB until you piss him off. He can kill by necro with 2-3 hits without absorb using FB. Ashuta has all his gear loaded with fire facets. Aveline is the richer version of Aschuta and immediately puts both LS and FB to use.

FoH: Your average pubby FoHer can do nothing more than cry in town when you put on tgods and a 4 ptopaz shield. However, the v/ts and mages out there will have no problems switching to Hammers or Smite.

Hammerdins: I've seen countless hammerdins die to ranged duelers (zons, necros) with ease simply because all they can do is namelock tele hammer. Then you see the Liberators break out charge.

These are just some examples of builds that have moved from good to godly because of versatility. There are others I have neglected to mention (like Widowmaker asns/barbs/etc) that have further increased their overall effectiveness through being versatile and not stupid. What are you going to do in a pubby? Cry in town when you are negated by 1-2 items, or a single skill? Or will you switch gears and put that lamer in his place?

Lastly, just because all the other lamers are being BM in pubbies doesn't mean you have to as well. I personally feel alot more satisfied when I beat someone playing fair and not negating them or just IBSing all day.

fully synergized fire ball still does a lot less damage than bone spear even with 75% res no absorb. and skilless necros can simply abuse ibs or teeth and win easily while the only chance the fire ball sorc has is making spetacular tele locks. if you think otherwise then your not a good necro. cuz I as an occasional necro player can go toe to toe with top fb sorcs with 3k damage 10 fps 0 fhr.

me neither on my barb but i use t gods sometimes when i get tanked by light sorcs occasionally trappers if i wanna avoid dying. also 75% fr will get tanked by a sorc like absolute-limit.

I have a hard time believing that last statement. With 10 fps I'd imagine you'd be a sitting duck for the most part. However, I do agree with you that a necro if he feels the need to be cheesy they can certainly kill an fball sorc with easy via ibs or teeth spam.

I'm not sure exactly what you're getting at though with that post pertaining to this topic. Bone necro != a heck of alot of skill vs most classes. Old news.
